Hum, I guess there goes the indoor theme park in Northern Michigan. I think Six Flags was supposed to try that again with support (failed with AutoWorld).
An interesting story with that proposed theme park. Up at Houghton Lake is a store called Arnie's. That owner was successful and sold the business to retire. Then, to keep busy bought a campground. Then, after the purchase. Plans by someone else to bring the amusement park came to light after the purchase of the camp. So, potentially, he fell into another goldmine. But, with the economic outlook, the plans have been place on hold indefinitely. Now, with bankruptcy. A new supporter would need to be found.
