10 bucks isnt for the router, its not even for the modem - its for the Fiber to ethernet converter box that you cannot buy. Thats why even if you have your own compatible modem/router they can still charge you the $10.

You have to use their modem/router combo they assign you. You can then change the settings to pass through to a better router (but you cannot use a 3rd party modem any way you cut it).

No, Att supplied modem, but you can use your own router.

That is incorrect. The equipment fee for att is for their "gateway" which is a modem when they use it with their DSL and router when used with fiber. There is no rental fee for the Optical Network Terminal which is the device that attaches to your wall and converts the fiber to Ethernet (and then connects to their gateway).
you can use their gateway in a passthrough mode and this allows you to use your own router. Their gateway is used for some sort of authentication. it's really dumb. no other fiber provider requires this.
is there a true bridge mode (not DMZ) to setup your own router behind the gateway? Seems as though some ubiquiti gear can be setup to run as such but authentication resets itself every week or so and requires a refresh.

thanks

I'm having a trouble getting CB for something that I purchased with them a while ago. It used to be much more reliable, but I guess they're getting too successful to care now. And their customer service is horrible.

I have deleted that app and don't use that all. They are garbage.

I have used the IP Passthrough to use my personal router. I followed the steps given in this link

What updates does the BGW320 have over the BGW210? I did a quick Google and didn't see anything that stands out.
Is this available already? and is it everywhere?

Thanks, good to know. I wonder if AT&T would provide a free or at least cheap upgrade for existing customers.
you lose the ability to use your own router and not use theirs

I went thru online to get the promos Importdude mentioned. Ran into an issue with the service date as I wanted to stagger my current Xfinity cutoff with the new ATT internet service.

You can't adjust service dates on the online order but will need to call their customer service after placing an order, they need to look the account up via phone number b/c its so new.

The support tech I got was from Miami and they were very competent, far more than any of the jokers I got from Comcast. Might've been luck of the draw as I've heard horror stories from ATT too but a good sign.
