this is why I hesitate to buy a years worth of anything.
1.) I called AT&T Loyalty Dept. last week and asked if she could reinstate the $20 credit. She said prices have increased since last year and that the current $60/mo. for 1 Gbps is the best rate. (I previously observed that on AT&T's website.) She said to check their website periodically and also My AT&T account status if there's a better promotion.
2.) While on the call, I mentioned to her that a couple clips outside my home broke and that the fiber optic cable was loose and I was concerned it could break. She arranged for a technician to come, which happened this morning. He re-fastened clips outside and said he needs a picture of the FO box inside my home. He then gave me a free upgrade to BGW320-500, which replaces the box at the wall. It also supports 2 Gbps and 5 Gbps speed, once AT&T offers it in my area.
