I attempted to look on Dell website for screen brightness but came up with nothing..anyone have a link or know of screen quality?

Don't know about screen quality but when I have checked with dell customer care, they have mentioned that this laptop is costco's customization for its customers...

This checks just about everything on my list and I like that it is from Costco. I understand how you get four years of warranty from Costco but my question is how does it work for repairs? My sons college is an authorized dell service center, so would Costco allow you to have repairs at the service center or do you have to send it in or do they just replace it is it is broke? I also have a question of what is the hierarchy of the Dell notebooks, is the 5000 the low end?

Currently have a 5000 and the screen shows "split pixelated lines" when you move the hinge which is absolutely horrible but it still works. Just have to deal with it or wait for weeks of warranty service, shipping, repairing and return shipping back to you. It's been used for a year so far and it works but the defective screen is probably a deal breaker which everyone would agree on.

If you need a laptop for work or something important right now then you could get it. Test everything, test if there's any screen defects by slightly adjusting the screen multiple times with the hinge rotating and return if you don't like or it's defective.

The 5000 is 2nd to lowest tier but this build is nice and pretty sure the form factor is new and way better than the ones on Dell's site. Ports are weak with no tbolt and HDMI 1.4 (??) but wifi-6, Id buy this over the existing 7000 easily at this price just based purely off of the specs, would need to see build quality in person and screen specs.
