Was looking for a reasonably priced chair mat for hardwood floors, and this mat looks like a good deal at $18 after tax, free shipping. Office stores like Staples have a similar mat but for $40+
Is this thing junk, or any good? Is it going to crease in two days?
The mat seems to have decent thickness (1.5mm), which is higher than some mats double the price at Staples, and is made of PVC, which most mats are made of. I wouldn't expect any issues that you wouldn't have with other basic mats.
informative video; when I was in an apartment with woodfloors (I was actually a nice tenant) I wrapped old socks/clothing around the wheels of my chair. I'm wasn't perfect but I'm sure it prevented some wear and tear.
so...would a rug work better???? I would assume it's the same problems. I've been wanting to bring home my chair from work as I'll be working from home for at least 2 more months Any advice for those of us with wood floors

I bought some roller blade chair wheels essentially - they work great and have done no wear on my floors. Think a pack of 5 on Amazon was $30 or so. Universal fit, just rip the current wheels out and push the new ones in.
I avoid mats/rugs like the plague. Dust gets under them and just grinds the floors.

Buy a box of Pergo (or similar clearance can be had for under $10 usually) flooring and make your own mat. Better looking and invincible.
Found this tidbit in the product specs and piddled myself a little - Because of long-term transportation and weather changes, the mat is irregular when it is just taken out. Please iron it with boiled water, and then put the mat down and press it with heavy objects for 3-5 days. The mat will be smo

There's a link. Can probably find them cheaper somewhere but that's what I got based on reviews/etc. Work super great for me.
