I think there are better options available at this price range but I'm not going to put down people that are looking at this price point because I understand that people of all incomes may not NEED a $2K laptop when they just need something to check their email and do light work on.
Next time, think first and be better
Though this model is a good value for $350, the display has a 220 nit, non-touch, TN panel. Also, the keyboard isn't backlit if that's important to you.
also unless you're an old man, backlit is really not that important as most people know where every key is and the laptops glare lights up the keyboard well enough

I'd keep your eyes peeled for an ideapad 5 300nit 4500u/8/256 for 500. Seems likely to happen if you can wait a bit, imo
Not much action in the 400-500 price range currently. Some mildly interesting stuff in the bargain bin, and the $600 lenovo flex deal is the next milestone on the price chart.
Thanks I'll take a look.
Thank you very much for your comments on this. I went ahead and got the two in one because I think the features of writing on it and it's ability to last for up to five years most likely would be good. Worthy investment. This one seems like a really good one, but maybe time to buy something a little nicer. Us grownups work hard for the money so why not. Thank you very much for the help

I would respond in an intellectual and respectful way but honestly, the poor grammar and sporadic thinking put forth in your post convinces me that it would be a waste of my time. That being said, have a great day, Mr potato head

It's on par with what most company laptops have including the following important things :
-8gb ram
-250gb of ssd
-10th Gen fast 2 core i3 cpu
-1080p display.
Yeah you can always demand more but this type of spec easily works for most. That includes most office works as well.
Yes, you can always demand more but....
Cost is as low as possible with good performance, numpad, relatively large display and high resolution which is useful when working with Excel spreadhseets. Mind, Windows and Office runs fine even on 10 year old Nehalem CPUs as long as one has a decent SSD.
I have an older ThinkPad with 1366x768 and it feels relly cramped working on Excel. For me, 1080p's definitely worth the extra $50 over the Walmart version.
1080p IPS would be nice but with the Acer that was linked earlier, you only get 4GB RAM and 120GB storage which is just too little. Upgrading those would make it a $450-500 laptop rather than a $350 one.
