I doubt this laptop will go down much further because of the design and specs. 1600 was overpriced launch price from a generally overpriced company to begin with.
And what laptop is worth much after a few years? They all depreciate rapidly. For example, check 2015 dell xps 13 ebay bids ($210ish) and thats before shipping and fees.
The dead pixel guarantee requires getting windows, which doesn't make sense to me.
Anyone know of any other light reasonably priced laptops with ryzen 7 CPUs?

It's not. Those max at 14 inches.
The problem with a laptop like this on a forum like this is that people are going to assume you must want a graphics card. Nobody can comprehend that this kind of a laptop is an excellent choice for the professional. Excellent battery life, great display, great build, also the Vega IGPU would be great for any video editor not named Premiere.
Just search slickdeals, For $300 more you will get a far superior machine, better CPU, amazing GPU, better display (120Hz) better warranty/support, walk in and return if you don't like it, and frequent bios updates. With these tong fang machines you get one or two bios updates and then you are done. Yes it's $300 more, but if your spending $1k you can most likely afford $300 more.
