This is a great case, buuuuuuuut, there are some issues. The 'A' variant with the mesh front is significantly better with thermals. The other major issue facing this case is it only includes one rear exhaust fan. If you are going to use this with lower powered parts, or add additional case fans, this is a great case.

It is really easy to build in and clean to cable manage as well.

For the price, I'd say this is a really solid case. I don't think you'll find a name brand like Phanteks at this price point and a TG side panel.

For a cheaper build that you want to add to this is a solid case for your needs. You can probably find better Airflow cases, but at this price point they probably will have a plastic side panel which scuff much easier then a TG one.

You can buy the mesh panel separately to attach to the case

I was looking into that as I currently have this case. Its just not worth buying the mesh panel separately. Comes out to $30.23 after shipping and taxes for me. Better off buying the case with the mesh front.

Exactly. Any case that goes with mostly solid type front is asking for heat issue. Don't care if it's brand or generic. This is not a good case beyond the fancy looks.

People always say this in Phanteks case threads regarding non-A cases but don't really bother checking that the cost of shipping costs as much as the product itself on their website in many cases (location will obviously fluctuate cost). In my case a P400A mesh panel is $20, then another $20 for shipping. Totally not worth $40 for just the front panel especially when they retooled the "A" series cases front fan mounting to look better. So you're getting a subpar appearance for not much less than just buying the new case.

Case is much 'smaller' than your usual mid-towers.

There is 'minimal airflow'. Front cover and its compact design ruins airflow.

I purchased it for a high-end system. Everything got super hot and heated.
GPU and CPU fans started screaming for cooling.

Check out 1 star reviews on Newegg. Tiny case, no ventilation, no way to add extra fans.
There just isn't anywhere to mount them to.
Go with Antec or Corsair is my suggestion. They have standard sized mid towers.
This thing is tiny in comparison.

The main reason I got the p400a with the mesh.

For us phanteks case owners, I am buying https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

and giving it a try. As others have said, I'm not spending $30+ to replace the front panel on a $50 case.

+1 I have a 400 or bigger 300 (cant remember but has longer top mesh cover) and relocated the top mesh cover to the front which seems to work. I am picking up the above to hopefully resolve this.

Not sure what the difference is between the P300A and the P400A, but the P300A is only $60 on Amazon right now (link [amazon.com]). Is that what you guys would recommend for higher airflow vs the P400 referenced in this thread?

I doubt anyone complaining about airflow actually owns this case.
The bevels offer plenty of flow through the front as the exploded view shows. both a top and bottom mesh filter can be removed - not that it should make much diff. it's hardly a submarine up front
