According to the fine print, the $40 gift card and $40 off $250 online code are mailed 4-6 weeks after you activate the membership, but they also both expire on Dec 31. Keep that in mind if you plan to wait a while to activate, especially with all of the delays various delivery services have been experiencing lately, which are only likely to worsen as we get closer to Christmas.

edit: Groupon has confirmed in this thread that both the $40 off $250 online code and the $40 Shop Card expire at the end of January.

Also, the Groupon offer itself is available until August 31st.

Yes, you have about 11 months to do that.

Remember to sign up at BEGINNING of the month as membership always expires at end of month, 13 for 12.

Had to do it. I'm hoping to pick up an Airpad 10.2 on sale, or the new 10.8 one rumored to come out this year. Hopefully the timing works out.

On Groupon chat, someone told me I would receive my member number as soon as I activate online and could use it to order from Costco.com and that I would not have to go into the store. Were they correct or no? You're saying it has to be activated in store?

They have a video on the groupon after purchase that says that you can start ordering from costco.com immediately so I'm assuming they give you the member number right away. The video says you would have to go in store to get the card.

I just went through it, it gave a membership number and it was automatically added to my coatco.com acct.

I also had the same issue and contacted Groupon support... who told me it wasn't about Groupon and to call Costco.

After being on hold for more than one hour, just tried repeatedly and somehow got through to the payment page before talking to anyone.

Then there's another issue with acknowledging you've read the member rights, as the box can't be ticked. Just keep trying and you'll get through eventually. Good luck!

Auto renew was activated when I signed up for the membership but accidentally unchecked the box later in the day (since has been rechecked). Will I still receive my incentives from this?

I purchased Costco membership via Groupon. However, when I visit the store, I was convinced to upgrade to exclusive membership (pay extra 60$) and also apply for credit card.

However, they cancel my membership initially received via Groupon and apply a new one.

This makes me worry and I haven't received email that confirms about 40$ shop card. Anyone experience the same thing?
