32gb isn't as bad as 2gb ram
Phones absolutely... I don't think tablets absolutely need 64GB especially if it has microSD card slot like this Samsung. I have an iPad 5th generation with no microSD slot and Lenovo Tab M8FHD with microSD slot. Both tablets have like 120 apps and I am at like 20GB used of the 32GB internal storage on both. Nobody really takes pictures and videos with their tablets. I put a 128GB microSD card in my Lenovo for my music, photos and videos files as portable storage. One always has the option to set the microSD as either internal or portable storage too.

I would be more concerned about the 2GB RAM than the 32GB internal storage.
Is 2gb ram worth it at all?

I purchased this last week at $199, and via live chat they were happy to refund the difference. It's a solid tablet, especially at that price.

I have the 2016 Tab a with S pen (Sm-p580) and it arrived the day it was released just shy of 4 years ago, it's been used every single for hours and hours on end and still no hiccup, the battery still lasts as long as it did when I bought it.
I'm still perplexed as to why the newer ones have 2gb ram when my 2016 version (only the S pen version) has 3gb ram.

I'm contemplating picking this one up for when mine is "done", any complaints you have about yours yet??

Is this noticeably better than the Kindle Fire 10" that's going for $100 right now? My kids have a 2017 Kindle Fire 8" and an older 7", and they're both getting too slow. I'm looking for something with a bigger screen to get through their e-learning (K and 1st grade). I'd prefer a Chromebook, but most of the sub-$200 deals have expired.

No complaints, definitely handles the basic functions I throw at it.

How is Samsung with updating Android? It was years ago that I last had one. Updates were always later then should have been. Especially considering security updates.

I'm looking to get two of these for my boys.

FYI, it looks like the free case is no longer on the page. I have one in my shopping cart with the free case, but when I update the quantity to 2, it only gives the free case once. And at the main product page, it doesn't show up for me any more.

Edit: Actually it looks to still be available when I use a different browser. Maybe they only allow 1 free one per account, even if you want two tablets.

I'm super tempted. My 2016 Tab A has a light bleed in the top right corner of the screen, is slow doing reading tasks, and crashes a lot with the YouTube TV app. But other video apps it still works great for the most part (besides the screen defect). The 2GB of memory in this kinda scares me. Decisions, decisions haha.
