Every router has tons of bad reviews. That's what makes it so difficult to choose one.

I got this router from costco a couple of months ago. I've noticed that the 2.4ghz band is having a lot of issues. My devices keep disconnecting from it and my computer sometimes just says "Connected, no internet". I have to reset the router which fixes the issue each and every time. It happens at least once a day. I bought it from costco so just waiting on a good deal on a different router before I return this one.

Debating on this or spend the extra $'s on Costco's TP-Link AX11000 for $299.
I do not need ultra high speed internet. Don't game etc.
What I do need is reliable connection that doesn't disconnect frequently.
My current Netgear R7000 is fast enough but disconnects several times a day. I've tried all the various fixes people have posted to no avail. All devices are disconnected for 30-60 seconds a few times every day.

Some reviews of this Netgear mention similar issues but reviews for the AX11000 don't seem to have the disconnection problems. Worth spending more $'s for a greater reliability?

Same here. 5 ghz speed and range is awesome but 2.4ghz band is so weird. Sometimes I got under 24Mbps on 100Mbps network just in front of the router, sometimes 40-70Mbps.
Thinking about return or exchange it.
Can I exchange it with out add price if I got this during promotion at Costco or I can only return and rebuy at full price?

Hi all,

I'm debating which router is better on the performance, and reliability? Netgear Nighthawk RAX45 AX4300 was on sale at Costco for $150, and tp-link AX5400 Archer AX73 was on sale $152.

Netgear Nighthawk RAX45:

tp-link AX5400 Archer AX73:

Thanks
