Not sure if it has always been like this, but Home Depot has the EGO Backpack blower with 7.5 Ah Battery and Charger Included same price as 5.0 Ah. $299. Other retailers have it for $399

https://www.homedepot.com/p/EGO-1.../307731925

https://www.homedepot.com/p/EGO-1.../207203612

I got a 15% coupon from auction site for ~10 and saved ~45

Not the best deal and I was planning on waiting for end of season, but I've had my eye on one for awhile and just decided to go for it.

Edit: added screenshot of order

Anyone else getting that?
I had to switch around ZIP codes, and eventually it worked for me locally and not the ZIP in this thread. In fact, picking it up today here.

I had the mower and not sure if it was the blade but it could not cut grass well to save it's life!
I disagree. I have 1/3 acre and used the EGO mower for two years in a row. It's a great product. Yes, sometimes you have to move the bag and clear the chute, especially if it's wet, but if you have a big lawn you don't really need to worry about that.

All of my outdoor power tools are EGO but I feel like their blowers or just battery powered blowers in general are still lacking. I see my neighbors with their backpack gas powered blowers just completely clearing leaves off their lawn like it's nothing compared to me using my EGO struggling to get leaves clean off the grass.

One thing that was mentioned was that the high lift blade worked better than the one that comes with it. I posted pics of the lawn on the EGO site and others said they had the same issue, It is possible they changed the battery management for longer life or the blade?

It is also possible that they changed a bit more in 2 years to save $$?

Did you forget your reading glasses? I never said I did it on one 7.5 battery. And I'm very aware this is a blower deal but I'm speaking to capability. Someone earlier stated something about not being able to cut grass. And for anyone who doesn't believe that I cut my lawn with my ego mower and that it does a great job, come on by and watch me do it. Again, I never said on one battery.
Couldn't agree more concerning reading glasses..... bgammill talked about mowing. sdslick posted once and only once and talked about blower and specifically how battery couldn't handle the size of the yard.

Your post 35 about cutting 3 acre is in reply to sdslick's blower post. Definitely beyond me why one would respond with "cutting 3 acres" to a question/concern about blower battery.

Sounds like reading glasses are needed indeed.

Lowes started stocking the EGO line already so I dont know how much longer Id wait for a "better deal in September". My guess is they are selling whats left and that will be it. My HD had one battery left and a few mowers but nothing more.

Exactly. All these people waiting until end of September for unicorn deals are going to be kicking themselves over the good deals they are passing up now. Stock is already limited.

Just curious, why would someone choose a backpack blower over this?

I have these blowers, two of them with the 5.0 battery. Very nice blowers, the batteries last about 30 min when using different speeds. So expect about 10 more mins with the bigger battery. My biggest complaint about the blower is the hook that the handle latches to for storage, it never stays put and flops off.

I'm getting the same thing. Tried several zip codes. Is this dead?

For some it is because of the battery weight.

I climb onto the roof and blow leaves out of the gutters. Both hands are free to climb the ladder with a backpack.

This looks really nice.
Currently using a 40v blower. Lots of leaves and pine needles.

Will wait to see if deals go lower in price.

My local HD in NJ has a clearance 5 ah blower open box for 225 and a 7.5 ah open box mower for 325. The brand new mowers are marked down to 399. I'm holding out to see if they get any cheaper. I already have a mower but would love a bigger/extra battery. My ego is 3 seasons old and not self propelled. Not that it really needs self propel- it's super light
