I recently submitted a warranty claim & it took forever, I think 6 weeks. Reason cited was COVID. The warranty was ultimately honored & I received a new tool 2 weeks ago. That being said, I don't buy anything that is not Fiskar now. This is the 2nd tool I leveraged the warranty in 10 years. Despite this recent warranty claim taking longer than expected it was easy. Warranty claim was online, couple of questions & a picture...no crazy hoops or copies or receipts you didn't keep. Great tools & they are standing behind their product!
AND - they do not require you to ship back the entire tool at your cost, which is one way many manufacturers offer a sometimes worthless lifetime warranty. The cost of shipping the product back is close to or even more than the cost of the replacement - and no guaranty they will warranty it. In that case, Fiskars is a great company. It's just a bit disappointing that they've moved so much of their production to China, now. I have some older Fiskars Made in USA stuff... even some old hedge trimmers (that were older stock when I bought them many years ago) that were made in West Germany.

I've submitted the claim according to the instructions and received a confirmation of their receipt. This was over a month ago. I should not have to do anything else and they can't expect me to be satisfied with being out of a tool for so long. If and when they actually honor the warranty, I will reconsider my position but currently I am a dissatisfied customer.
That's unfortunate, but in reality it's not their fault the pandemic hit... they will honor it and you will get a new tool. I have used the warranty several times and never an issue. Another company that is very good with the warranty is Greenworks, all they wanted was a pic of the serial and QR code on my battery chainsaw and since the part that broke was a build part on the actual power head, they essentially gave me a brand new saw. They also were very concerned about the hassle of me having to move parts over to the new unit, but I told them it wasn't an issue, I was just happy they were replacing it without hassle. Waiting 6-8 weeks for a replacement tool due to supply issues they can't control doesn't bother me one bit...They deserve the positive reputation they have built up for their warranty policy.

You're probably better off buying the Fiskar compound loppers for most limb work. They're excellent and so much easier to use at the higher end of their abilities.
I'll second that. The gear-lopper takes much less effort which is safer if you're on a ladder trimming low-hanging limbs. It also has larger capacity. They usually are heavily discounted in the fall.

Same price at Home Depot. Also, hold out for the gear drive version of the hedge trimmers, MUCH easier to use.
What is the "gear drive version" referring to?

Do a search for "Fiskars Powergear" or "Fiskars Powergear2" deals are harder to come by and they are little more expensive but they are great!
