It's 4 years since receiving the sign up bonus.
You have to wait 4 years since opening the first one before you can get another.
The application date or the card open date doesn't matter. What matters is the date that you received the sign-up bonus. That date is probably the closing date of the statement in which it was awarded to you.

For example, if you met the minimum spend for the sign up bonus in the first month the card was opened, the statement closing date was probably October or November 2016. If you met the minimum spend in the 3rd month that the card was opened, then the bonus may have been awarded in January or even February - again, depends on the statement closing date. You can check your first few statements in that account to know for sure.

So mad, I got a new fence for my house and paid for it with my Chase Freedom card because this wasn't available, only the $200 off $500 business card deal. Of course this one was released again the next day.

I wonder if they'd let me transfer to a new card and get the points.

General question: Citi will not allow you to "product change" your Citi COSTCO card to another Citi card. Correct? If yes, what happens if Citi, hypothetically, loses, the COSTCO contract, to, for example, Chase Mastercard. In such a scenario, will Citi allow a product change to another of their cards?

This is not an unrealistic scenario. You may recall that a few years ago, Amex lost the COSTCO contract to Citi Visa. Do you recall if at that time, Amex allowed product changes to other Amex cards?
My recollection is that the existing Amex Costco cards/cardholders had their accounts converted to Citi Costco cards. Not sure more generally about PC's out of the Costco card.

The BOA Cash Rewards credit card seems too good to be true with a reward structure that is very competitive with BOA's Premium Rewards variant. What gives?

The maximum cap of $2,500/quarter for all category spend is low. If you have significant deposits with BofA and can leverage the preferred rewards multiplier, it could be a nice option. Or for a relatively low spender whose spend hits one of those categories maybe.

4k is a little tough, but if u have trustworthy people u can add as users, it's a lot easier. Adding users is free unlike the reserve or the amex platinum

This card has become absolutely trash after the revamps of no fee cards freedom flex and unlimited. Better to go for reserve with hardly less than 95 effective annual fees with far more benefits than this card. IF THEY OFFER 150K UR points then may be one should consider this card
I agree that this card really doesn't offer enough to keep long term at this point, but it's silly to think that $1,000 worth of points is not enough to keep this card for a year and then cancel. You are literally asking for almost $1,900 for them to issue you a credit card.

Is there an easy way to check when you received the last sign-up bonus (>48 months) to determine eligibility? Wife opened the CSP when it first came out, then ended up downgrading it to the free Sapphire card after the first year to avoid the yearly fee. I'll have her close that card and re-apply for the CSP if she is eligible for the sign-up bonus, but I do not know if it has been the full 48 months yet.

They really need to improve on the categories and %s for me not to cancel it before renewal. I don't see why anyone would keep it and use it after the initial 4k.

1a). The relevant time limit re. approval/bonus for Sapphire cards is 4 YEARS, not 2 years. Being under 5/24 is a necessary, but not sufficient condition for getting a new Sapphire Preferred/Reserve card.
1b). No. The plain Sapphire is still a Sapphire. Holding any Sapphire card = auto rejection of your Sapphire Preferred application.
2). See 1b. If you have multiple Sapphires currently open, they are safe as-is. But for new Sapphire card applications, you need to have 0 (ZERO) Sapphire cards of any kind open.
Interesting, and thanks! I've had my two sapphire cards for over 4 years, but didn't know about the holding a sapphire disqualification rule. I was able to get my reserve while holding the sapphire years ago, but that seems to have changed re: your info. Appreciate the clarification.

I agree with you, it might make sense to open and close it within 1 year but if one wants to consider for having it for couple of years, its waste to apply for this card and instead consider reserve.
