I contacted via message app and the supervisor wasn't able to add the free line to my account. Told me to just add a line through Website or in App and free line discount will apply.
Currently max 8 line for my account with 3 free lines for $130 a month. Did have to pay $10 for SIM card going through online.
Don't know why the supervisor wasn't able to add the free line, kept say error on their end.
Also, the $20 assistance fee or whatever it's called is complete BS. Never heard of a $20 assistance fee plus a $10 sim card. Not only should you tell them to shove the $20, ask for $10 sim card credit as well.
Supervisor waived the $10 sim card but the rep gave me a hard time about it. Overall, I got the line and sim card at no charge.
I think ordering through your account allows you to choose your own # and won't screw with grandfather plan. I'm switching to this free line as my primary Data line since no kickback.

On the last free line in July, I think, they completely screwed up my plan and removed my promos and switched me from Tmobile One to Magenta. Took hours and multiple chats to get it resolved. it was a nightmare.
Chat, ask if you can add a line Online and be qualify for the promo so you have proof if for whatever reason it doesn't show up. Then add the line through your account. Much easier than dealing with these newbie reps.
If a rep is being a hardass, ask to be transfer to a supervisor. Supervisors are pretty good at customer satisfaction.
With the last free line deal in July, there were countless people who got Kickback on the free line but it didn't do anything.
Maybe your account is special or has a glitch but if you're really getting $20 Kickback from your free lines, congrats.
Remember it's not.really a free line...they charge then do recurring credit
