*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

Does anyone know if the $250 promo required a port-in at the time of activation?

No, only in a certain timeframe. I don't know if that's within 14 days, before the promo ends, or what. Best to do it ASAP if you can.

Yes I do have the 2017 this one is on promo.

When you check on your tmo app for the current plan rate with all the discounts and promos, does your estimate include the kickback deduction or no? Thanks
I don't think so, but I never go by that. I just find it too confusing. I personally find it easier to visit the website and to to the account page, then click on where I see the T-Mobile One cost listed. It does a better job of breaking down the discounts, and will give you a better idea of what you should expect.

Nobody knows. If you want it, add it now.

Edit: According to Reddit, it looks like it ends close of business tomorrow. Jump on it now if you want it.

This posting is getting way too thick to flip through. Hoping someone can shed some lights on the following question. Can an existing paid line be canceled and not lose the free line?

After 1 year, that should be fine. That's how all previous free line promos worked. However, we'll need agent-facing documentation to confirm.

End of the day tomorrow (9/24). I updated the title/OP accordingly.

Existing customer here. If I have an old iPhone and TM SIM card laying around, what's the most painless and cheapest way to add this line? I went on the website and they want to charge me $10 for a SIM card and $20 for the line. Is there a way around either/both? Would messaging in the TM app be better/faster? That's how I added my line in June if I recall, but it was a little pokey. Thanks!

Edit to note I plan to port in an ATT number purchased on eBay so I qualify for the $250 rebate. I know I have a certain window to do that after activating, but can I go ahead and do it at the time I add the line just to save time/contact with CS?

When you click on your Plan under My Account, it will show the Discounts you get and the Monthly price of your plan "BEFORE" any Add-ons or Kickback. If the amount is not what you expect, then something is off. If you like to post that summary here, we can give you our opinion.

I don't have that SC plan but had a different one 10SFM2LN, and talked a rep into switching me to 6SCFM2LN, which is 2 lines for $80, $20 each additional and 6GB of data. it took a couple of tries but on the app it worked. that plan is eligible for all the free lines.

That is basically the plan I have, except mine is $70 instead of $80 for the two base lines. It was a special limited time and limited area promo they offered. With my free unlimited data, I'm not willing to take any risks changing it, especially if it costs more, negating most of the free line benefit.
