Once you get an e-mail with subject " Your account has been activated: order xxxxxxxxx363", then call 611 and have the porting complete and submit the rebate.
I chatted with T-force and the first rep said I was eligible, the other 3 reps (I chatted multiple times) on T-force said my plan is not eligible. I went ahead and added a line (sim card) online on Wednesday. When it shipped on Thursday, I got the following text. So it looks like I may be eligible too.
Congrats! You will receive your promotional service discount from T-Mobile as long as you maintain eligibility. View http://t-mo.co/activity for account details.
b) You could spend $7 extra on ebay and do a port-in and then do the $250 BYOD rebate and buy the phone from Apple
You're already on a plan? As far as I'm aware, the free line offer that ended on the 17th was only for new customers opening a new account with 2 or more paid lines. It was not applicable to customers that already had an account.
The offer that started the next day was for both new customers adding 2 or more paid lines, or current customers with 2 or more lines.
It sounds like you're only eligible for one free line, not two, if you were looking to add these lines to a pre-existing account.
Is there something I'm missing here?
For example I added the free line yesterday. I can't cancel any of the existing lines for 1 year otherwise i would lose the free line. But if I add another paid line and then cancel that line in a few months, it shouldn't impact the free line, correct? This paid line was not there when I added the free line. So it shouldn't impact the status of the free line. Is that correct understanding? Thx
1st: "Expert" initially said I qualified for the line, but then when he attempted to add it, he couldn't. He said he had asked a supervisor why he couldn't process it, but ultimately that my plan only allowed 5 lines max.
2nd: "Expert" was able to add the line and place an order for the sim. My order confirmation shows the following:
SC Fam Unl TT 6 incl/up to 10
BYOD 3in1 SIM Card
ASSISTED SUPPORT
SC 6GB DATA & SMHS
Based on the above, I supposed the SOC FUTTVN can have up to 10 lines. HTH
BTW, I thought the line would get the same data as my line with free data (up to 2GB), but the "expert added the 6GB for $15. TIA
Question for the experts on here: should I call and have them remove it now and try later to match the free data or leave the order alone and do it later?
