The lady said the acct is already closed and I shouldn't have an issue opening up a new TMo acct. But that is not the case you and others have experienced. What was the exact error reported? I want to call them and tell them about it. Thx
For someone like me who has a zombie Sprint account, the T-mo ordering site asked for info (name, address, DOB, SSN, etc) to run a credit check. Then it came back with a screen saying looks like you're a Sprint customer. If you click on the box to sign into Sprint, it takes you there but Sprint has no info about the BYOD deal. If you click on the X to close that pop-up screen, then it'll ask again for the info to run the credit check, and comes back with the same error screen. There's no way to get around it.

Is $700 worth the headache? The answer varies from people to people. For someone who's still busy working, making a lot of money, it's probably not worth it. For a retiree like me, with lots of free time and doesn't mind the tasks required, it's definitely worth it. Before retiring, I worked in mainframe IT earning $50+/hr, so I earned more than $700 in two work days. Nowadays, I sit around all week earning nothing. So $700 is worth it.
You are very helpful. Thank you hpham_53 for supporting us along .. as you navigate through the deals, be it sprint / att / t-mobile 😊

So rep told me that I can't get $250 per line AND 3rd line free. It's only one or the other. Was the rep misinformed?
I believe you can. Others have done it - max 4 per account using magenta plan (total per month $140 or less 20% if you use type 1 hookup)

To be clear, I got two lines ported over. Can I go on the promotion site and apply for the rebate without having to insert the sim to a phone?

also the free line I ported in I inserted the sim on my mother's old Galaxy S6 but verified the IMEI byod checker seems to indicate this phone won't work on tmobile. Will this impact the rebate at all?
