For everyone who keeps questioning the warranty information:

The boxes in the warehouse have an additional packet of warranty information attached to the boxes. (At least they do here locally.)

So even though the box is printed with a 3-year warranty on it, the additional information explains the extension of the 3 year warranty to 5 years.

(And yes, if you use the Costco Visa credit card, that tacks on an additional 2 years, making it 7 years total.)

Hope this helps clarify things a bit...

Sony's pushing it as part of their "PS5 Ready" series and is actually one of the few TV's capable of gaming 4K at 120 Frames...however this tv will not do it out the box until a firmware update Sony has yet to push. It's assumed they'll do it closer to PS5 launch Source: https://www.techradar.com/news/sony-ps5-ready-tv

I mean you bought this way back in July. So you've enjoyed this TV for about 2 months while others patiently waited. Maybe just go to Costco and see if they will price adjust without all the hassles of returning. Cause you returning will just cause your TV to get sent back to Sony and they will then have to sell it as refurbished and then reship it somewhere else to sell. The carbon footprint of all this is huge.

That fact that they added the 5 year warranty to the 75in makes me believe we will see a drop on it as well. It makes no sense to pay twice as much to step up to the 75.

$400 off on the 65inch model and only $50 off on the 55inch model. makes total of $50 difference between the two models...

We are already seeing big discounts. This thread is one example. Other big discounts on 900f and 950g recently. Not seeing the logic in what you are saying.

That's exactly what everyone said when this exact TV went sale for $1169. Now the people who bought the TV want a price adjustment to save $200. Big discounts do not necessarily mean it is the lowest price that the TV will go to. There is a good chance that this TV or the 65" Sony X900F will drop even more in price during Black Friday or Prime Day.
Looks like the Sony X900H will be $849.99 on Black Friday since it is part of AAFES's 12 Weeks of Black Friday Deals. Normally, the sales that Sony has are across all retailers so I expect the Sony X90CH to drop in price again during Black Friday at Costco.

The AAFES sale is for next week only, and black friday is 2 months away, so not sure if that will be sony widespread pricing anywhere other than AAFES, but would be unusual for so many rapid discounts on a current year sony XBR this soon.

Does this tv especially in the 65" suffer from DSE/Banding? For sports this is really distracting when panning.
Yes, if you hang from wall.

AAFES was the first to have a sale on the X900H at $999.99. Then Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, and Costco followed and will also sell the TV for under $1000 starting around September 30, 2020.

AAFES said that instead of a Black Friday they will have 12 Weeks of Black Friday Deals and starting Friday will sell the X900H for $849.99. So according to the sales pattern, there is a really good probability that the X900H will be $849.99 starting around Black Friday at all major retailers. Hopefully, the Black Friday Ads will start to leak by the end October then we will know for sure if the price will go down further.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how best buy matches costco? It says you have to be logged in to see their deals, so how do they verify price?

I believe that technically they don't. The Costco version has a different model number so they don't have to match.

Why oh why did Sony have to go and only make 2 of these ports HDMI 2.1? You need 3, minimum, if you have an ARC/eARC connection
The fact that Sony built the 950G and 950H both equipped with HDMI 2.1 hardware but won't deploy the firmware update to activate its features says it all. I'm not even convinced this 900H will be getting the update in time for the November console launch, if ever. Either they're having problems with the firmware or are just plain greedy forcing folks to purchase next year models that will most likely come with 2.1 ports activated out of box. They pulled this shit with Dolby Vision a few years back, similar scenario

I am using a family member's membership to get this with my own payment info. Will there be an issue for returns or future warranty claims?

Can someone explain how hanging from wall produces the banding? I had to return 1 of these tv because it had several vertical ghost lines (jail bar banding). I did have it hanging on the wall.
