The boxes in the warehouse have an additional packet of warranty information attached to the boxes. (At least they do here locally.)
So even though the box is printed with a 3-year warranty on it, the additional information explains the extension of the 3 year warranty to 5 years.
(And yes, if you use the Costco Visa credit card, that tacks on an additional 2 years, making it 7 years total.)

Also Best Buy actually price matched the X900h to $969.99 so they one upped Amazon.
They offer great extended warranty optiosn as well for a very aggressive price, if u like to buy those
For a $850 - $1000 tv im not too worried about having or needing a lengthy 5 year warranty anyway....
and in case anyone missednit FYI - the costco deal says sony is the 5 year warranty provider (not via costco) .... so dont expect costco level service if u have an issue. Sony will not be as kind or quick or as happy to help ...
