For everyone who keeps questioning the warranty information:

The boxes in the warehouse have an additional packet of warranty information attached to the boxes. (At least they do here locally.)

So even though the box is printed with a 3-year warranty on it, the additional information explains the extension of the 3 year warranty to 5 years.

(And yes, if you use the Costco Visa credit card, that tacks on an additional 2 years, making it 7 years total.)

Hope this helps clarify things a bit...

Sony's pushing it as part of their "PS5 Ready" series and is actually one of the few TV's capable of gaming 4K at 120 Frames...however this tv will not do it out the box until a firmware update Sony has yet to push. I mean you bought this way back in July. So you've enjoyed this TV for about 2 months while others patiently waited. Maybe just go to Costco and see if they will price adjust without all the hassles of returning. Cause you returning will just cause your TV to get sent back to Sony and they will then have to sell it as refurbished and then reship it somewhere else to sell. The carbon footprint of all this is huge.

I'm actually on the same boat as you. Have the same TCL. It's a hard comparison due to the fact that the TCL was about half the price (for me at least) as this Sony. I have an old Sony LCD that's lasted me over 12 years now of daily use, and bought the TCL as a replacement for budget 4k. I like the TCL and it's been great, but nothing too crazy stands out about it. I think this deal is pretty great, but I'm having a hard time justifying upgrading a TV again so soon. A lot about this TV seems to be geared toward next gen gaming, and since we don't have real world examples of what that performance would look like for this model I'm not sure I want to blindly buy just because it's a good deal.

Just purchased the 65" from Costco. I didn't have the membership so it was $1107. I didn't like the motion handling on the CX OLED so this will do just fine until OLEDS can fix those issues.

Are you not close enough to a Costco to do shopping there? The membership is just a bit more then the surcharge and you have an entire year to use it or if you have other online deals to save on.

Look no further. This is THE best TV you can buy in the market at this price. I bought one two weeks ago and am very happy with it. Getting the price adjusted today and am going to be even happier.

Thanks for info. The Costco site shows 2.1 so if for some weird reason it's not rolled out by the time the PS5 is released at least I will still be in the 90 day return window. Really want 2.1 because I'm getting a PS5.

I was going to go to the store and purchase but then decided online. It appears my tax rate was 6% online versus 10% in the store saving me $36 which I can put towards the Square trade warranty. That's interesting.

My experience with Vizio has been mixed. I've had one of their TVs for 3 years. It looked good and worked well during that time but it just died. I also had their 5.1 sound bar system for a few years that also started having issues. I'm done with Vizio. Maybe Sony won't be more reliable but the 5 year warranty helps.

Some states have only a use tax online and not the full state and local taxes.
