From past experience the delivery company will call u to schedule a date and time for delivery so I don't think the actual delivery dates are accurate. I too was wondering about the five year warranty. Where is the proof other than Costco's website. The packaging is going to say three years. Even in year 6 or 7 if u call the credit card company to file a claim, They are going to ask for the warranty literature and are you going to have as a three-year card from the box. I don't know how Costco is going to fix this, but as others suggested I would immediately register for the warranty with Sony and see if that would have some literature online

I havent bought a TV in a very long time. Does this TV has ads like some Samsungs. Sorry if I am vague. I am not sure how manufacturer ads show up on TVs.

Did you compare the Q80T to the X950H? If so what did you think? Those are the two I'm looking at. I think those two are more comparable in features and to some extent price. I just took a look at this tv at my local Best Buy and it is stunning. It was placed right next to an OLED (the A8H I think) and while the OLED was certainly better, the difference wasn't that big, IMO.

I've got the 65" Hisense for $400 from Costco arriving today, but if it's not somehow a stunner, I may have to jump at this one. The TV was just that damn nice.

Well, in theory, the Sony is newer and getting the HDMI 2.1 update. But if you can find that Vizio for a couple hundred dollars cheaper, sounds like a good deal.

Well, there's a big price gap there. This Sony is competing with the higher end Hisense models. If you're willing to sacrifice a few features, that's a good deal. But the Sony will look a lot better than the $400 Hisense

anything other than oled from lg is usually pretty average or lower screen quality and mostly IPS panel.

Oh for sure I don't doubt it. I'm just hoping the hisense is "good enough". The option is either go cheap and replace in a few years go with the Sony for much longer.
