Based on the information from this thread and another community, I created a guide so that more people can hopefully navigate this deal easier and so questions won't be continuously repeated.

Because this will be a living document, I created a Google Doc for ease of updates: https://docs.google.com/document/...sp=sharing

Note: I am not a T-Mobile employee and this is my first-time doing a trade-in with a Hookup code, so I am learning alongside most people here; thus, my guide may not be fully accurate. Feel free to make suggestions for corrections if you notice any mistakes or parts that lack clarity. And if you found my guide helpful, please post a response here just so I know and will continue doing these. Thank you.

I hope this helps,
Tofu Vic

Since this involves a trade-in, just want to remind folks that you can trade-in in person at a T-mobile corporate location and by doing so, avoid any surprises from mailing in your device

Starting 9/25 get a Galaxy S20 FE 5G for just $200 over 24 months via bill credits when you trade in an eligible device:

Apple: iPhone 11, XS Series, XR, X, 8 Series, iPhone 7 series
Samsung: Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy Note10 series, Galaxy S9 series, Galaxy Note9, Galaxy S8 series, Galaxy Note8, Galaxy S7 series
Google: Pixel 4/4XL, Pixel 3A/3AXL, 3/3XL
OnePlus: 8, 8 Pro, 7T Pro McLaren, 7T, 7, 7 Pro, 6, 6T
LG: V60 ThinQ, G8 ThinQ, G7 ThinQ, V50 ThinQ, V40 ThinQ

Or get one free via bill credits when you add a line.

THIS STACKS WITH THE $200 HOOKUP CODE! Remember, only one Insider Hookup code per account, whether it's the 20% or the $200. See here for details on that promo. Please do not ask for hookup codes in this post.

Please note: This WILL NOT stack with the free line. The free line ends 9/24, and this phone promo begins 9/25. There is NO WAY to get this phone for free using the free line. Please don't bother support trying to do it.

https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-pho...-s20-fe-5g

Click the magenta text at the top of the page to see the offer for $500 off. Must be logged in to see the offer. To see the "free with add a line" offer, open in incognito. Please note the $500 off page currently says "when you add a line and trade in" but the adding a line part is a typo and not necessary.

What am I doing wrong?
I found a code and it checks ok on the insider lookup page:

Offer Name: 2020 T-Mobile Insider $200 Off
Invites Reserved: 0

Invites Redeemed: 0

Invites Available: 1

When I go to the t-mobile insider and enter the same code with my phone number, I am getting:

Unfortunately you are not eligible for this offer. Please contact T-Mobile Customer Care by dialing 611 from your handset to complete the qualifying offer requirements.

I haven't used any hookup codes before since I never heard of them.

Whats the difference between the Sprint version of the phone and the unlocked version?

I have my unlocked Pixel 3 on Sprint as part of the BYO unlimited plan but when I select to upgrade my phone and select the S20 FE, I don't see any option to trade in my Pixel 3. I instead purchased the unlocked version of the phone on Amazon but if I can somehow get the $500 trade in deal plus the $200 insider deal, I'd rather do that unless the Sprint phone is locked to Sprint.

Would this phone be an upgrade from the galaxy 8 plus?
Yes, you have a phone that's roughly 3.5 years old that in best case scenario is $200-250 phone today for which you're getting $500 credit. I upgraded my both of my regular 8.

Can someone who has done either online ordering or phone/chat please post the fees involved with their transaction?

I see references to a $20 fee, a $25 overnight frt charge, a $7 frt charge.

Obviously calling/chat gives you the option to sweet-talk your way to maybe a better deal.

I want to upgrade two existing lines. What's the cheapest way to go, call/chat/online?
Unfortunately I can't post a screen shot on slickdeals but here is what I got charged. $10.00 shipping fee is for overnight shipping.

So a galaxy s7 phone will also get 500 credit or a lower credit? So you basically pay the value of the phone and rrceive credits back over 24 months. Thanks a little confused never used these offers

Its odd, on my sprint app. When I choose upgrade and trade in my current Galaxy S7, it seems to $500 off bringing it to $8ish a month (24months).

How are you getting the trade in page on the sprint app? When I click to upgrade, it doesn't show a trade in page anywhere. I'm on sprint with swac.

I am experiencing the same thing. No option to trade in. What is SWAC?

For SWAC make sure you guys select the color of the phone and then 24 month option. It will then ask if you're trading a phone.

I placed my order a few hours ago and that's how it worked for me.

It only shows up when I add a line. Doesn't show up when I try to upgrade a line.

It showed a trade in of only $27 for the LG G7. Do I just ignore and assume I will get $500?
