Based on the information from this thread and another community, I created a guide so that more people can hopefully navigate this deal easier and so questions won't be continuously repeated.

Because this will be a living document, I created a Google Doc for ease of updates: https://docs.google.com/document/...sp=sharing

Note: I am not a T-Mobile employee and this is my first-time doing a trade-in with a Hookup code, so I am learning alongside most people here; thus, my guide may not be fully accurate. Feel free to make suggestions for corrections if you notice any mistakes or parts that lack clarity. And if you found my guide helpful, please post a response here just so I know and will continue doing these. Thank you.

I hope this helps,

Since this involves a trade-in, just want to remind folks that you can trade-in in person at a T-mobile corporate location and by doing so, avoid any surprises from mailing in your device

Starting 9/25 get a Galaxy S20 FE 5G for just $200 over 24 months via bill credits when you trade in an eligible device:

Apple: iPhone 11, XS Series, XR, X, 8 Series, iPhone 7 series
Samsung: Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy Note10 series, Galaxy S9 series, Galaxy Note9, Galaxy S8 series, Galaxy Note8, Galaxy S7 series
Google: Pixel 4/4XL, Pixel 3A/3AXL, 3/3XL
OnePlus: 8, 8 Pro, 7T Pro McLaren, 7T, 7, 7 Pro, 6, 6T
LG: V60 ThinQ, G8 ThinQ, G7 ThinQ, V50 ThinQ, V40 ThinQ

Or get one free via bill credits when you add a line.

THIS STACKS WITH THE $200 HOOKUP CODE! Remember, only one Insider Hookup code per account, whether it's the 20% or the $200. See here for details on that promo. Please do not ask for hookup codes in this post.

Please note: This WILL NOT stack with the free line. The free line ends 9/24, and this phone promo begins 9/25. There is NO WAY to get this phone for free using the free line. Please don't bother support trying to do it.

https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-pho...-s20-fe-5g

Click the magenta text at the top of the page to see the offer for $500 off. Must be logged in to see the offer. To see the "free with add a line" offer, open in incognito. Please note the $500 off page currently says "when you add a line and trade in" but the adding a line part is a typo and not necessary.

This is such a good deal but so unwilling to trade in my S7 that I've had for 4 years .. I know, I know, no longer updates. What will I be missing on the FE that my S7 had?

Plus I need a code 3, but how will i know/get notified if Jman100 will/can get new codes?
Are you kidding me? If you're staying with TMO. . .$500 trade credit for an s7, no add a line needed.

Updates to Android 12, 3 years of security updates. 50% larger battery, that is new no less. 6.5 inch screen vs. 5.1. 120mhz screen and 5G (that I turn both off). Better camera. More bands. 128/6 vs. 32/4. The list goes on and on.

That's $200 to upgrade for the first time in 4 years. If you think spending $50 per year on your phone over the edge ($200 net for the new phone for expected 4 years usage by your standards), then why are you on TMO and not on a very cheap MVNO instead?

Next year your S7 will have $0 or $100 trade in value, meaning you will spend more in the end waiting until S21. If not this deal, then soon! Good luck. . .

And if you get the Type 3 code. . it's net free (after taxes). Are you eve considering NOT doing this upgrade?

Anyways, go to the Tmobile reddit thread and then find the sub reddit that deals with Hookup. Click on the Discord banner on right side of screen, subscribe to Discord, then proceed and click on Hookup-info on left side of the Discord, and take a ticket # (like at a deli) if they are still not in shut down mode still--they shut down tickets to try and catch up to orders. If so, check back later. . .

I ordered on 9/25 and I saw a shipping label created on my USPS "Informed Delivery".
So not all of them are being shipped via UPS.
The item has not been received by USPS yet, so no delivery date yet.
(I opted for the cheapest shipping, $6.99 since I could not get the CSR to give me free shipping and didn't know about the code until after I placed my order.)

I'm a little confused. How do we get this T-mobile deal if we pre-order the phone through Samsung for the $70 accessory credits? Or is it just one or the other?
You can only get this T-Mobile deal if you pre-order from T-Mobile. You may (should) be able to pre-order through T-Mobile and still get the Samsung $70 credit.

I hope this helps,

For plans with $10 add-a-line, like Simple Choice, does it make any sense to pay $200 out of pocket + S7 which is about $80-100, totalling about $300 for the FE?
If I add a line, that's $240 (+ tax) over 24 months, similar cost to the trade-in deal, FE is free and at least you get another line this way.

Let me know if I am missing anything.
Getting the phone via add a line is the better deal Especially if you can do cheap add a line

Have you tried trade in at the store? Last time I did a trade in, they asked me to send the phone to an address they provided

How does this phone compare to the Pixel 4XL?
The performance and therefore overall feel will be much more fluid and faster. You also have a wider variety of camera lenses. The only advantages I see the Pixel of having is faster and frequent updates, cleaner software, and better processed pictures. You can always download GCam to get an identical look though.

Not yet. There hasn't been an update on the T-Mobile site, and I haven't seen any packages heading my way in UPS, USPS, and FedEx. I had paid $14.99 for 2-day shipping. (I couldn't get the shipping fee waived, but was able to get the $20 support charge waived.)

Is there any any clarity on #3 "Receive a one-time bill credit based on your trade-in value" . What will be the one time credit for an iphone X or say Samsung S8+. How much will then be the remaining monthly credit. I am unable to find those details on the T Mobile website.

Is the Value Essentials Plan the same as Essentials plan? I'm actually on the T-Mobile Prepaid Plan but called T-Mobile and they said I can be on the Essential plan and still trade-in phone to get the $500 off as bill credits. I plan to switch over to Essential to get this deal.
They're not the same.Value Essentials Plan is cheaper than Essentials plan. Value is the cheaper plan promotion ($100/4 lines) which do not qualify for most of promotions because the rate is discount cheap already based on T-mobile policy.
