Fun fact: the Deco app will always say your firmware is up to date no matter how many versions behind you are; the ability to update firmware thru the app is broken and has been for over a year.

I ended up getting the TPLink tri-band from Costco when they had it on sale. Did a little changing of things to get it more centrally located in the house (~2100 sq ft multi-level). Doing that greatly improved everything. I can wander the entire house without dropping (even outside). Plenty of bandwidth as we have run three online sessions (1 Teams and 2 Google Meets) at the same time.
Not sure if it was just my configuration, but family is much happier worth single higher performance router. Sometimes less equipment is better in the long run.
I currently have some TP-Link ethernet over power adapters and they work well to get internet to the other side of the house (where it's outputted to a Linksys router that still works well) but we've got a 3,000 sq ft ranch house and need internet throughout, even in to the garage where we have some connected devices (so that's like another 1,000 sq ft). I'm wondering if a 3-pk is even enough as I recall claims of 200 ft but throw in a wall or two and it's like 50 ft.
Costco has the Google nest 4-pk or Linksys Velop for $400 but that seems like a lot compared to the 3-pk M9 from Costco for $200 (we only have 2 routers currently but there are definitely some "not so great zones"). I don't need all the home automation crap, I just need consistent wifi throughout my house so I can access the internet and ideally print from anywhere (as currently I can only print when on one wifi connection). What's the best (coverage/cost effective) solution? Get the M9 TP-Link from Costco for $200 and if I decide I need it get an additional M9 (although it doesn't seem like I can buy just 1 anywhere for a reasonable amount of $)?
I do move through the house a lot, and frankly would more if I could, so I don't want to drop as I walk through zones (which admittedly is an issue now as I have to drop everything and reconnect from the other router on the other side depending on where I am). I did once, a long time ago, have a portable TP-Link router for use when I traveled a lot and didn't want to pay ridiculous hotel fees of $20 per device per F'ing night (which thankfully seem to long be over), but their customer service did seem to majorly suck as I had a couple issues. I'm fairly competent, well at least as of 8-10 years ago, but if there is an issue I would like to get some help from someone who can hopefully provide it.
Just want something that works well for a good price that will allow some seamless mobility and the support to back it up should I need help.
