I'm still on the fence myself. Wife says she doesn't want a black phone and I wanted a bigger screen from my iPhone 7, but $250 is tempting. Also if I wait until tomorrow I can get 5% cashback through Chase or Discover.

Yeah I was holding out for a deal on an iPhone 8 Plus, but AT&T Prepaid doesn't sell them, only the 7 and SE. I read about rumors of an SE Plus, so I may just hold out until then.

Being active (using) on AT&T Prepaid service for 6 months, AFAIK there is NO way around this.

Post paid months wont help you, it has TO BE prepaid (any AT&T prepaid service), they match by IMEI so no way you can do like 1 month prepaid then just keep it like that without paying for another 5 months.

Works out best for those already on AT&T Prepaid service..
