Instead of Ryzen 7 4800U which you'll only see in consumer Laptops, my suggestion will be going with Business Lineups which are having Ryzen Pro series CPU. Ryzen 7 4750U is almost identical to 4800U in CPU performance and around 5% to 10% slower in GPU performance. he CPU performance is way higher than the top end Tiger Lake CPU in Multi-threaded benchmarks and it will last you longer in terms of performance.
Also, you will get these CPUs in Business Notebooks like this one or ThinkPad T14 and T14s and I will highly recommend T14 which costs similar to this model with same configuration. Lenovo T series ThinkPads are built like tanks and they are far durable than any Business Laptops and it can take far more wear and tear than any consumer laptops and for long term usage, I will actually go with a ThinkPad over a higher end Consumer Laptops.

I'm thinking that waiting for an X13/T14s 2nd gen might lower the price on the 1st gen significantly, or I could always spring for one for the new ones if there's a significant upgrade. I'll probably end up going for AMD over Intel just based on price, but I don't have bias otherwise.
Edit: Looks like Ryzen 5000 mobile APUs will be announced in 4 days. Worth the wait I think.

We can read, and also think for ourselves. I have been using 128 GB SSD computers for 6 years now, never ran out of space.

So power consumption is also pretty low. Any downside to this CPU then?
