One of the most popular threads on Slickdeals, a forum devoted to great deals, right now... and there aren't even any good deals. And people wonder why.

@EB50 This. Should be decent with the news of a Mavic Mini 2 release starting to swirl.

The 43in toshiba was $179 last week. I bought it. Now it's $209 on "prime day"

This will be the case with most "deals" for prime day.

Really encourage everyone to check camelcamelcamel to see if you're actually getting a discount or just falling for the hype

Are the firesticks better than the chrome cast?

Chromecast more powerful. 2gb vs 1gb. Better chip set.

Eero mesh.... wonder if its worth waiting on the new edition with wifi 6?

your provider probably cant support that speed anyway. so still bottlenecked.

Of course, they don't offer a discount on the Eero Pro 6, but only on the slower 500Mbps one. -_-

Which kids tablet is best to get ? Need something for 5 year old so she can play games and learn.
Don't know. There's a bunch of options.

I have a kindle fire kids edition (really just a fire in a rubber case, with an app subscription).

In theory it has amazing parental controls-- you can block apps and set timers (can only watch so many videos etc.).

In practice I just let her download all sorts of apps onto it, then I go and delete the dreck and the cut her wifi.

My 4 year old doesn't care that it's slow (7ed I think?) She likes it more than our switch because inevitably I leave some junky clicker for her to obsess over.
