Now I'm not quite sure that's a good idea since Verizon just bought TF. We never know if anything would change in the future.

Verizon hasn't officially bought TF yet, deal said late next year. Still has to be approved, lots of red tape before it is a done deal. Hopefully those of us that are paid up for several years will be OK.

You could active now as it will add an extra year of service to your current plan.

I had an extra SIM card (T-Mobile) that I got with this deal last year, so I just activated it and inserted it into my iPhone SE. When I look at my TF account, it still shows my last day of service as next month. It also shows the old sim as inactive with today's date. Should I be concerned that the last day of service does not show that it has been extended till Nov 2021?

May take a couple hours to update correctly.
Hopefully it's not an empty SIM, too late now to get $ back. Always need to activate ASAP, there's only 30 day return on eBay.

The SIM card I just activated was a T-Mobile SIM card that I had from last year when I bought the kit that included cards for all 3 carriers. I had used the AT&T card but hadn't used that T-Mobile card. On the package it says activate by 2022. Should I expect that my last date of service will update to 2021 at some point?

If you already redeemed the year using the AT&T sim that's it, the others will be empty sims.
It's one year, not 3. The other sims are usable & will activate but won't have any time.
