If you
trade in a 1st generation echo show, you'll get
25% off the full price of the echo show 8, plus the prime day discount, plus an
instant $30 gift card.
Total price is $2.49 + tax. You'll pay tax on the total price of 32.49.
EDIT:
To clarify, my receipt shows $32.49 to be paid. $30 of that will be paid by the instant gift card, leaving $2.49 + tax to be paid with other funds. I already had another gift card balance which is why the full balance is paid via gift cards.
EDIT 2: Some are reporting that you need to have the echo in your Amazon history for the discount and gift card to apply instantly. Others are saying that it simply needs to be currently linked to your Amazon account and could have been purchased elsewhere. Be sure it's currently linked to your amazon account before you proceed with the trade-in for your best shot at the instant discount and gift card.

I didnt get instant $30. It said the gift card gets applied to the account after the device is appraised .
