Yes, that's correct. Carrier trade-in may fetch more for iPhone 7, but no Walmart eGC.

I traded two iPhone 7 last week to TMo for $800 trade in bill credits for a final price of $100 and $200 respectively for iPhone 11 Pro 64GB and iPhone 11 Pro Max 64GB.

With Walmart, you are not tied to a two year wait for the discount. Depending on the duration for unlocking, you are free to pay off and move to a cheaper carrier. For me, TMo worked out cheaper.
Tmobile is offering $270 for iphone 7. Ours are iphone 7

How did you get $400 per line?

That promotion ended last Thursday. It was $800 per line, so a total of $1,600 in bill credits over two years. I have a discounted plan so opted to go with the longer route. The phone was assessed at $55 and the rest $745 credited over 24 months. More details here - https://slickdeals.net/f/14392547-t-mobile-starting-oct-16-free-iphone-11-pro-with-trade-in-or-up-to-800-off. It was an in-store promotion.

The new promo from last Friday is B1G1 with bill credits over two years - up to $700 for 11, and up to $1000 for 11 Pro / 11 Pro Max. Requires a new line.

Thank you. Repp'ed for your help

BTW, all the ppl adding new lines, do you guys just add new lines and then take the old ones out? I have 4 lines and no need for additional but all I see from TMo are promos for adding lines. Additional line for me would just be $20 per month so not that much of a stretch

It's worth it if you coming from a different carrier so all your lines will be consider new or add a line status. Or if there is a free add a line that coincide with these free phones offering requirements.
Many people who posted how great a deal they get often neglect to mention all the requirements which make it seems like a great deal until you factor it all in.
Like you mention 24 months at $20 is $480 bucks added to the cost.

Carriers have clear requirements on new line promos, and I recall T-Mo requiring any closed lines in the past 90-days to be reactivated before you try to avail a new line promo. Agree with fithos here - coming from another carrier has the best value in many cases, as there are minimal options for existing customers to take advantage of these promotions.

Personally, I have moved around in the past 3 years between AT&T Prepaid, Sprint (16-month free BYOD), 4-months free Visible ($100 GC per line) before taking advantage of the new customer promo with T-Mo last week. I moved out of Sprint just to get the 90-day period to come to T-Mo as a new customer. Also, 2 of those 4 Visible lines moved to Cricket with the iPhone 7 free deal, which were traded in to T-Mobile for the new device promo. The discounted (referral credits, non-primary lines) Cricket lines are continuing with unlocked phones for sometime before it will be moved again (Example - Visible having $100 BYOD, $10 Boost Mobile, etc). The T-Mo (primary lines) 2-year will turn out to be paying the full price of the phone for 2-years of free service.

I got valuable info from fellow members and shared my experience in those two threads in the past two years of the same promo (2018 Walmart and 2019 Sam's Club).

TLDR; Requires some leg work and patience, and to not worry about any new promotions that may come that's better than what you took already. Always read the entire fine print.

What are the chances of getting iPhone XS/XMax in store? I think the store might have limited stock only.

Looks like its not online for sprint customers.

OP please edit and add this from the flyer:

"Sprint Now Part of T Mobile offer available in store only on Apple devices"
For buying a Sprint phone should I call ahead to make sure the store has it in stock?

Hi Folks, can someone tell me what will be the cheapest plan on each of the three carriers (ATT, Verizon, Sprint) for a new customer/account that one would have to purchase for this deal?

How do I find out if the store has inventory of sprint phones? Do I have to go in store? Is there a brick seek page
You cannot just by looking online, and must go in-store. All Walmarts carry AT&T and Verizon, Sprint is YMMV depending on store. "Sprint now part of T-Mobile" is just their term for legacy Sprint account that works at national retailers for upgrade, T-Mobile accounts and Sprint accounts converted to T-Mobile are categorically ineligible (because T-Mobile won't let anyone make any money from them or their customers, they're just staying around in Walmart and Best Buy so not to get sued for ripping up Sprint's national retail agreements).

Does this mean sprint phones may also be online as opposed to in-store only? I do not currently see any sprint inventory online
Sprint phone have never been available online at Walmart/Sam's, and the fine print also says it's in-store only. And I'm guessing Walmart won't spend the effort to carry Sprint online because that customer base is slowly declining as customers transition to T-Mobile (which is hostile to all national retailers).

No. Non-standard Sprint plans are all ineligible for anything at national retailers. You can only upgrade directly at Sprint (in a T-Mobile fashion).

Thank you. I called my local store and they only had a few sprint phones but claimed they'd be getting a new shipment to replenish so hopefully when this goes live they will have more inventory.

What are the new expected MSRPs for these phones? I'm thinking of getting the XS or the 11Pro.

XS 256GB should be 950-1000?
11Pro 256GB should be 1050-1100?

Or would be iPhone 11 be of a better deal?

There's also a difference between iPhones and junk phones. iPhones stock is shared between AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint, these lock to the first SIM inserted. That is, you are competing with AT&T and Verizon customers on available phones, regardless of how much stock they have. Cheap junk phones like the Samsung A10, A20, A50, etc are all carrier-specific so Sprint would have its own stock, this may be what your store is talking about.
