I missed the Sams Club two pack deal a while back. Unfortunately our neighborhood has had a few break ins lately and we need this.

Why do you think the price will go down? That would be great!

think twice about any kind of solar light.
Why? Can you explain, is it the rechargeable batteries that don't last long ?

I think manufacturer may be overstating the 2000 lumen & they don't give run time or battery used.
just for comparison.... 2000 lumen is very close to car (ONE) headlight.

Same is being sold by Sams (it uses 1X 3.7V 2000MAH 18650 LITHIUM battery pack)

One of the reputable brand uses 3 AA NIMH batteries (sams used to carry this but now Westinghouse)
https://sunforceproducts.com/prod...ion-light/

I would not buy this (personally)...

I bought the 2pk last month for $40. After one month the paint over the bracket already rusting. The assembly feels like cheap plastic. Not sure how long these will last.

The battery powered Mr. Beam spotlights I've been using for 2 yrs are significantly better built. I wanted to try these cuz I don't want to keep changing battery.

I would pay $10-15 for this. Not $20. Not $25. Just offering my .02$

I've had 2 of these for a year now. They both work great and very bright. Zero problems whatsoever. I also have a harbor freight cheap one that has lasted 4 years now with original batteries not as bright as these but still works great.

I've bought several other solar lights and the issues I've had is delamination of the solar panel. The delamination prevents the batteries from getting a good charge.
The convenience of the solar light is great but the need to replace them after a couple years gets old fast.

Delamination is usually a product of dirty solar panels. The caked on grime acts as an insulator, raising the internal temp of the panel.

There's currently no way to mitigate this without making the panels less effective (solar culmination, submerged panels, etc), so you just need to clean them.

It could also be possible that the lights you've used had resin coated panels instead of glass layers. Resin collects grime far easier than glass and the initial refraction isn't great to begin with.

Thanks. In for 1. Repped. If this goes down further we can ask Walmart to match it.

If it goes down further, just buy another one.

You are creating unnecessary overhead by trying to save $5.

Consider yourself lucky, both units of mine had the plastic around the nuts that holding the unit to the metal brackets were shuttered within a week. Not 100% sure if it's due to weather very hot here in FL or a squirrel jumped on them, but the fact is, they both ended up in the bushes beneath.

We have three of these for more than a year, and love them. Very bright, and have worked flawlessly.
