I am a Civil Engineer and I did the math for you:

$1970 85" version cost 63.8 cents per square inch of screen
$1599 75" version cost 66.5 cents per square inch of screen
$970 65" version cost 53.7 cents per square inch of screen

Therefore, the 75" version is the worst choice and actually cost more than the 85" version when looking at cost per square inch of screen

Links

Direct Link to purchase TV: https://www.costco.com/sony-85%22...57292.html (goes in and out of stock).
Rtings.com review: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x900h (IMHO one of the best LED TV's out there)

Costco.com VS Costco Warehouses (physical stores)

Costco.com vs Costco Warehouses (physical stores) act as 2 different business units and will not price match if bought from the "other" store.

Costco.com

Costco.com Price Adjustment Page: https://customerservice.costco.co...l/a_id/628
30-day Price Adjustment
Multiple people have chatted/talked with customer support and have posted proof that orders will be price adjusted.
Multiple Costco.com orders even have the price adjustment already issued.
Free shipping

Costco Warehouses

Price adjustment seems to depend on the associate/store manager so YMMV.
The carton is a beast and DON'T LAY TV FLAT when transporting.

4K 120HZ Blur Issue

(11/13) Sony has acknowledged the blur issue and promised to address it: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254079
Here is the Sony support page: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254078

Hope this helps!

I missed it. Wish they'd bring it back for that, or an even 1500!

For me, 85" is a tad big for my bedroom, but then I'm used to a 100" projected picture on wall. Still, a TV always taking that much space... Eh.

Anyone know of an upcoming deal for 75"?

I can't imagine Costco not atleast matching their existing price on BF.

Also, to those complaining about 4k @120hz, is it that big of a deal? I'm a gamer but won't be hooking up my pc to it. Ps5 or xbx series x maybe, but I never really saw a difference going from 60hz to 75hz on my monitor so... And yes, I've never seen true 120hz in action before.😜

So, for me, it's either this deal, the 65" LG CX deal, or wait for 75" x90ch deal.
60 to 75 is such a minor jump ofc you wouldnt see a difference. Yes it's a huge difference. The point of this TV though is VRR not really 120hz. VRR will reduce screen tearing and jutteriness when frames dip from high to low and vice versa

You get five years standard whichever credit card you use unless it is the Costco Anywhere Visa Card issued by Citi that provides an additional two years (Coztco.com accepts more than Visa). Purchasing the X950H from Best Buy or Amazon only provides a one year warranty.
I thought yesterday I saw 3 years manufacturer warranty + 2 years costco conceirge...

The blurry 4k/120hz issues are concerning. Most of us bought this with the intention to use it at that setting for gaming. It sounds like they added the ability for the set to take in a 4k/120hz signal but not display a 4k 120hz signal. If the 4k signal only looks as good as 1080p then it should not be advertised as supporting 4k 120hz. Since the hdmi chip they use we know supports the bandwidth we know it can't be that. I'm really hoping they don't have some hardware in the set that can't handle that bandwidth and are just trying to make it compatible with that PS5 mode so people think they are getting 4k120hz. But from that response it didn't sound promising and I would expect alot of angry customers after the ps5 comes out as there is no way games are going to look 4k crisp with this blurriness. Also glad i bought from costco so that i have another 60 days to decide if its going back. Other than that I love the set.
120 fps 4k hdmi 2.1 patch was just barely released. It's bound to have a couple hiccups but will be ironed out

I have this tv and notice the blur even on 4k 120 8 bit 420 with amd 5700xt video card.

There is a reason these tv sets are getting heavily discounted.

Here's a theory. The reason for 2.1 4k 120fps blur is a quick solution or fix to get 2.1 working out before ps5 comes out, so they can technically say they achieved it. Which is still shady af. Hopefully, as VRR is coming out, the next update will allow them to use the full bandwidth and have a more stable solution. They need to clear this up asap

Plausable...but here's another that is more prevalent:

Sony is aware of a hardware/design flaw that makes this a fix that won't happen because it cannot happen so they are covering it up and being cryptic.

The truth is that we don't know for sure but what we do know is that Samsung and LG TVs with this feature do not have this issue while arguably Sony is supposed to have the best reputation for non-OLED/QLED TVs of the bunch.

Ugh I know, that's why Im hoping enough people complain and become aware of it to force them to come up with a solution or further clarify their statement, to a YouTuber, and make it more official

I have a clarifying question that hopefully someone can clear up for me without having to dig through dozens of pages in the AVR thread.

I get that there is an issue with blur at 4k120Hz.
  • Did Sony just now activate 4k120Hz in the recent update? From my understanding that update wasn't the full update for HDMI 2.1, which would enable 4k120Hz. It sounds like there is still more to come. Is that correct?
  • Or, was 4k120Hz working previously, but the recent update caused some issues with it?

One newb question to add to this if I may. Is the blurry 4k120Hz issue affecting gaming only and nothing with regular TV/movie/sports watching?

This monster is 130 lbs, will Costco delivery leave at the door or bring it upstairs in a two story home? Is extra white glove delivery for $20 worth it? Will this fit inside a minivan with seats folded down?
Specifications @ bestbuy page says 105 lbs with stand and 100lbs without. Where do you see 130 lbs?

just trying to be sure this will work with my current stand....
