So for excel use this monitor is not recommended at all due to texr issue? Sad
I have zero issues using this with Excel. I look at spreadsheets about 20% of the day.

I'm sure you could do it, but from his comment, it doesn't sound like I'd want to do it.

I'm definitely keeping this strictly for gaming now.

For people that have received this monitor, can you test the picture-by-picture option? There are reports that Acer monitors either scale down the images and adds black bars at the top and bottom, or screws up the aspect ratios.

Can anyone who bought this confirm if it had issue like the one above I quoted.

thank you.

Does anyone else hate the stand on this monitor?

-It was a pain to install it.
-The bottom of the stand doesn't feel very secure to the top.
-You can't really tilt the monitor horizontally.
-You can only tilt it vertically.
-You can't lift the monitor to sit higher or lower and the bottom is only about 3 1/4 inches from my desk.

Am I missing something here? It is the worst monitor stand imageable in my opinion.

For the price of this monitor, I'd use those savings to buy a VESA arm (even a cheap one works very well). It will free up desk space and make the monitor more maneuverable Smilie

Thanks! What's the response time in milliseconds? There's an ultra wide 1080 tall 32:9 monitor at Costco for 650 bucks. It's a VA as well with 4ms response time. I'm into racing and wanted to do an ultra super wide monitor to complete my racing rig. Besides full motion, an ultra wide monitor is the only thing I'm really missing. I'd appreciate any input / feedback. Thank you!
I'd love to measure this for you but how would you suggest I do that? I'm not an FPS gamer and I'm not sensitive to input lag considering I've been playing games on 60Hz office displays for my entire life hehe.

I don't suppose you want to share the post calibrated profile?
Sure thing. Just spread some rep if you can Wink

Calibration was aiming for 6500K with gamma set to 2.2. So I calibrated with a brightness of 40, contrast 50, black boost 5. Color 2.2, color temp set to User, R Gain 48, G Gain 47, B Gain 47.

It's said you can adjust brightness without affecting the temperature or colors much. Rtings calibrates at 100 nits actually (for those that don't know).

Uploaded the .icm file and the DisplayCal report post-calibration.

I can try to calibrate again under the Warm color temperature setting. I think it should be more universal, and at 6600K it's already close to my target of 6500K. Just keep in mind the whole procedure takes roughly an hour, so give me a day or two if anyone is interested.

Slickdeals site doesn't allow me to upload .icm files, so I uploaded to Google Drive.

Just got this in. Much more comfortable to use compared to the Samsung 34" flat ultrawide. For some reason I'm having issues with one of my my USB-C-to-HDMI cables so I can't try PBP, but it sounds like it works fine based on #269. Getting in a new USB-C to HDMI adapter tomorrow and will update.

I have no issues with text quality on it, but maybe I don't know any better. (I am using it next to two 17" MBPs and it's obviously not as good as the Retina screens, but that's expected.)

One thing to note is that the VESA mount isn't centered on the monitor--it is more towards the top of the screen. This caused issues with my particular arm mount, but obviously that depends on your set up.

Overall very happy and going to return the Samsung 34" tomorrow.

Why is everyone shy to post screenshots here? Mine's not delivered till Monday Frown.
On the bright side, my CyberPower gaming rig (off the Bestbuy deal over the weekend) just arrived today.

...and it's dick moves like this that cause things like 'restocking fees' to exist. Thanks for being part of the problem.
Costco does not charge restock fees.
