Calibration was aiming for 6500K with gamma set to 2.2. So I calibrated with a brightness of 40, contrast 50, black boost 5. Color 2.2, color temp set to User, R Gain 48, G Gain 47, B Gain 47.
It's said you can adjust brightness without affecting the temperature or colors much. Rtings calibrates at 100 nits actually (for those that don't know).
Uploaded the .icm file and the DisplayCal report post-calibration.
I can try to calibrate again under the Warm color temperature setting. I think it should be more universal, and at 6600K it's already close to my target of 6500K. Just keep in mind the whole procedure takes roughly an hour, so give me a day or two if anyone is interested.
Slickdeals site doesn't allow me to upload .icm files, so I uploaded to Google Drive.

This deal is super tempting but I will play it safe and hold out to the 30th just in case a similar Dell monitor goes on sale.
Edit: also found out that even using the Costco Visa Rewards CC will not qualify your purchase for the price rewind. It only applies to other stores' prices, not to Costco.

I would definitely go with IPS if they had curved for a similar price.
But for the price, this is a great deal.
My order was cancelled, I put in another order. I think it's because it's my grandmother's account coming to my address.
I knew this before buying and was planning to mount on my VESA arm anyways. The monitor comes with long risers to provide VESA mounting.
Samsung 34" Class QHD UltraWide Monitor at $299?
1. Works at 144 Hz on DisplayPort, I had a leftover cable from a previous LG monitor.
2. G-SYNC works. I am using an RTX 2080. I used the G-SYNC demo to verify this.
3. OSD has some gamer features like crosshairs, refresh rate display
4. Text is sharp. Visual Studio Code looks great!
I can test PiP/PBP later, I do see options for those on the OSD

Getting a popping sound from time to time, and a slight flicker from time to time -- nothing too bad, just not perfect. Muted the sound, and the pop went away, but the random flicker is still there. Might be my fault though, since I'm using a 15' DP cable. Lowering the refresh rate to 100Hz does help.
The speakers are a joke, but I kinda assumed (2 watt speakers LOL). It's many times worse than a Google Mini.
Text is OK. Not as clear as my Dell U2518D (2560X1440 @ 25"). Maybe it's a VA thing, as PPI is more or less the same (110 PPI for the Acer and 117 PPI for the Dell). I've already gone through ClearType -- still not satisfied.
Overall it's nice. No WOW factor for me -- just a size upgrade. Don't let it deter you though, I've just been spoiled early on with 2K, IPS, and OLED.

I also tested PiP. There is a small and large mode (the large mode takes is about half the width of the screen). You can select which of the 4 corners to place the picture.
I had a HP monitor that died after 2 years+ (still had box) so I boxed it up, took it to my local store and they gave me full retail price plus taxes in store credit. This is why I'd rather pay $50 more than other retail store and get it from Costco.
Not to mention the 2 yr conceige warranty from Costco is excellent to say the least. I used it early this year on my 65" Vizio and they sent out repair tech (before Covid) and TV was repaired within a week and it's been fine since then.
