Calibration was aiming for 6500K with gamma set to 2.2. So I calibrated with a brightness of 40, contrast 50, black boost 5. Color 2.2, color temp set to User, R Gain 48, G Gain 47, B Gain 47.
It's said you can adjust brightness without affecting the temperature or colors much. Rtings calibrates at 100 nits actually (for those that don't know).
Uploaded the .icm file and the DisplayCal report post-calibration.
I can try to calibrate again under the Warm color temperature setting. I think it should be more universal, and at 6600K it's already close to my target of 6500K. Just keep in mind the whole procedure takes roughly an hour, so give me a day or two if anyone is interested.
Slickdeals site doesn't allow me to upload .icm files, so I uploaded to Google Drive.

This deal is super tempting but I will play it safe and hold out to the 30th just in case a similar Dell monitor goes on sale.
Edit: also found out that even using the Costco Visa Rewards CC will not qualify your purchase for the price rewind. It only applies to other stores' prices, not to Costco.

I had to go manual to fine-tune the colors, but I still intend to produce another ICM file under the default Warm setting (6600K). I also plan to post the pre-calibration DisplayCal report. Stay tuned, might get it done by tonight.
Keep watch on this post for an update I guess? Post #264. I'll probably just start a new post as well once the files are ready.

The post-calibration report highlights an out of spec tolerance between the measured vs. assumed target whitepoint, but it can safely be ignored since the test assumes I'm calibrating under a 6600K preset, but the Warm profile only measures 6570K. I'm actually pretty happy with this profile as it has a tighter tolerance over the first calibration with the colors and grays and even follows the gamma perfectly at 2.2 all the way through.
I'll also be attaching the pre-calibration results tested against sRGB and Adobe RGB. I also retested my previous calibration profile just do double check. The file name is the same as the previous (EI342CKR), but with the time stamp of 2020-11-16.
I'll upload the reports and ICMs on my Google Drive. I'll also attach on this site as a zip. 2 ICM profiles (User + Warm), 2 pre-calibration results, 2 post-calibration results for the User ICM profile, and 1 post-calibration result for the Warm ICM profile.
Oof. Definitely tired, and don't plan to make any more promises

As a final note, I recommend you guys check out DisplayCal. It's suppose to do a better job at handling these color profiles. It is freeware and safe. Also recommend you guys check out Rtings for other in-depth reviews of monitors (to give you an idea of what you're looking for).

- Holy smokes, this thing is huge! Wasn't sure I was going to like the curve, but its perfect for this application. It really is a much more immersive experience with the extra width in games.
- Responsiveness: Super quick. I was worried that the "virtual response" 1ms was going to be some BS, but I notice no difference in this department compared to my dell.
- Colors and contrast - great, much better than the TN. If I was coming from an IPS, not sure what my thoughts would be.
- Con: The VA panel blur is real. I had read about it, but never used a VA panel for gaming before. It is noticeable coming from the TN. It feels like built in motion blur. With that being said, I got used to it real quick and its not a dealbreaker (this thing is $350).
- Been playing COD Cold War on this thing, and its been a great experience.
