Sure thing. Just spread some rep if you can Wink

Calibration was aiming for 6500K with gamma set to 2.2. So I calibrated with a brightness of 40, contrast 50, black boost 5. Color 2.2, color temp set to User, R Gain 48, G Gain 47, B Gain 47.

It's said you can adjust brightness without affecting the temperature or colors much. Rtings calibrates at 100 nits actually (for those that don't know).

Uploaded the .icm file and the DisplayCal report post-calibration.

I can try to calibrate again under the Warm color temperature setting. I think it should be more universal, and at 6600K it's already close to my target of 6500K. Just keep in mind the whole procedure takes roughly an hour, so give me a day or two if anyone is interested.

Slickdeals site doesn't allow me to upload .icm files, so I uploaded to Google Drive.

Order on Nov 1st so you can price adjust on Nov. 30th(Cyber Monday). 30 days for price adjustment for costco.com

I looked into this and general consensus is that this WILL NOT work. Most Costco employees online are saying they are told not to honor price adjustments for Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals and sales for items purchased beforehand. Of course, you can risk it but there isn't any guarantee you will get the price adjusted (most said if the item goes out of stock, Costco will definitely not price adjust).

This deal is super tempting but I will play it safe and hold out to the 30th just in case a similar Dell monitor goes on sale.

Edit: also found out that even using the Costco Visa Rewards CC will not qualify your purchase for the price rewind. It only applies to other stores' prices, not to Costco.

How is this compared to the Dell S3200GDF on the other thread? I know it's Ultrawide vs 16:9 but still...

It's an annoying policy, can buy another at the lower price and return the originally purchased one if they won't price match. Not sure why they encourage that over price adjusting.

Mine's arriving today! I probably would have waited to save $50 on what look like equally well performing monitors but I can't be made about a 34" 144hz UW for $400. The only annoying thing I see from the spec sheet on the Acer is the 75mm mounting pattern. It also doesn't specify how long the warranty is.
3-year limited warranty through the manufacturer but Costco is known for their super lenient return policy years later. That's how they keep their member confidence. Customer satisfaction is the key to their success.

How does it compare to the recent deal of dell monitor S3220DGF?
This is 34" and curved vs. 32" no-curve. This also has a better resolution and response time.

How does it compare to 34" Acer Nitro XV340CK 3440x1440 UltraWide 144Hz IPS Gaming Monitor $400 form BHPhoto? I like the one sold by Costco has 400nits.
So the XV340CK is a non-curved monitor with 250 nits brightness which many complain is not enough brightness for a 2K monitor in the daytime. I have no issue with my XV340CK with it's 250 nits but will be upgrading for sure. The limited manufacturer warranty is also not great so the appeal of buying this monitor from Costco for any future issues is the biggest win this deal's got going for it. That and it is significantly lower in price than any 34" curved UWQHD monitor with these specs that I've seen in 2020 thus far.

Just to be clear Nvidia's 10, 16 and 20 series support FreeSync but how well it'll work depends on the monitor. Some work perfect while others flicker or blink while some won't work at all. I believe they have a list of tested monitors and I can't speak for this monitor.
and if you don't game and don't need 1ms response times you'll be fine right?

Any thoughts or experience on the compatibility with Nvidia Gtx 1660ti which supports Gsync. But i know it works with some free syncs.

I want to use this for gaming and work. For work when I share screen is there an option to share half the screen? Don't want it to look super small for my coworkers

Return it and then say you'll buy it back at the sale price + a little extra off for open box. Win!
there is a reason bf sales are limited. fcfs. if you can grab one of the limited stock on the sale day, feel free to return this. And many stores dont let you rebuy a returned item right away.

XV340CK is flat vs EI342CKR curve. XV340CK has an IPS panel and IPS panels usually have slight premium over VA [gamingscan.com].

Depending on your needs. The IPS panel is worth the $50 difference at this size for me since I mainly do spreadsheets and web surfing and only do some casual gaming so a flat screen works better for me. 250 nits is plenty bright for brightest room condition in my experience.

Thank you for your advice. Yes, I prefer flat screen too. I only do casual gaming as well.

2 things.

1) I wouldn't risk buying it now and get fukked with no price matching later. Just wait for a month.

2) Costco monitor policy is awesome. NOTE monitors fall under general "electronics" and NOT under computer or TV so technically, lifetime refund.

I bought a 32" HP Omen monitor 3 years ago and it finally died. I simply boxed it up , took it to my local store and they issued full store credit ($299 plus taxes). I walked out with the 32" Acer Nitro with $50 out of pocket.

Will give the Acer to my son and then get the ultrawide off this deal.
