Verizon wireless and fios basically tell existing customers to f off.

I guess the idea of it being cheaper to keep a customer than recruit a new one doesn't apply.

With the existing customer "deals" I'm not sure why anyone doesn't buy unlocked from Apple and at least avoid the BS $40 fee for the priviledge of buying a new phone.

Just port out to a cheap prepaid carrier, and port back in.

Not just new lines. It's 30 months of bill credits vs only 24.

That is why I left Verizon many moons ago. Terrible customer service and expensive for long term customers.

Plus the two months they delay your bill credits. This locks you in for essentially three years. 😡

I don't think the 2 month delay adds to the length of the "contract". at least not in my experience. If there is a delay, I have gotten 3 months of credits at once.
Regardless, all Verizon deals are pretty much worthless now. you either need a new line and/or a more expensive plan. So the savings are a mirage anyway.

I've been a customer w them over 6 years and customer service has been pretty good. Ever since COVID started their customer service has been outsourced to other countries. I have been with att and sprint and never had such horrible customer service in my life. They make you wait for hours to solve something and than drop call and not call back. They got me on one of those payment credits so I'm stuck w them. Otherwise would be gone as well.

It will probably continue to get worse as well, I would not be surprised if you see 36 months of bill credits at some point.

Seems like a great deal if you have a kid old enough to get his first phone and you need to upgrade your own. Amirite?
