I bought one of these during the last sale for $969. it is a phenomenal TV for me. i don't game, just watch movies and stream YouTube videos.

Haven't heard if Amazon or Costco will be running the same price. I plan on getting another one for the bedroom. I called Best Buy and asked if I buy now ($1399) if they would refund the difference during their black Friday sale. they said no. does anyone have any experience to the contrary?

I was just at Costco over the weekend trying to get anywhere close the $970.00 price that they had in October. They wouldn't budge and the stop rep said it may not be into June or July of 2021 that this model could go back to that low of price when Costco goes to move into newer model units.

The Costco X90CH comes with a 5-year warranty from Sony, and the 900H is only 1-year warranty.

I really wish Costco would price match but the rep said they will not price match any stores. And technically the Costco one is a different product number and model, even though its the same damn tv.

I appreciate your input but even if the rep knew that the TV would be on sale during BF I am pretty sure they are supposed to keep that a secret.

Should be from Sony for 5 years, there's even a sticker on the TV boxes.

See Here - https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00250278

"The actual time period for the limited warranty for all of the below Affected Models is 5 years. All other terms and conditions in the limited warranty card that accompanied the Affected Model remain unchanged."

At the time of the deal in October, Costco added an extra 2 years if use had a credit card with them which brought the TV to 7 years.

Does Costco do price adjustments on Black Friday sales?
If so, you could buy this TV now and ask for the BF adjustment once the sale hits. It may not go down to $970 again but it should go down to the $999 Best Buy BF price.

I bought when it was at $969 a few months ago. However, the infamous firmware upgrade they did messed up my TV. So my plan is to return this one and buy a new one (and turn off firmware updates).

Costco does not price match with other retailers.

Not sure this is true. Check their policy. It listed under an exception that they won't be able to do this unfortunately, as it is the Sunday before Thanksgiving when this goes active
But I literally chatted with a Best Buy rep who told me as such

But Costco does do price adjustments if their price drops after you buy it. So what I'm saying is you could buy the TV from Costco now, and ask for an adjustment if/when the TV drops for BF. This assumes BF is not excluded from their price adjustment fine print (like Best Buy does).

You are correct, but based on the ad scans for Costco, only the larger 75inch x90ch will be on sale, and that is out of my budget. The $970 for the 65 x90 with a 5-year warranty fell within the budget.

So as far I see right now, the next best deal would be the Samsung 65 Q7DT Series that is $1,099.99 (Right now) that also includes "The Allstate Warranty plan. Formally Squaretrade.

Year 1 manufacturer, year 2 Costco Concierge, plus years 3, 4 and 5 with Allstate enrollment.

From my "limited" research, Q7DT Series would be comparable to the Sony X900. The X900 is a better tv based on my limited search.

I plan on buying this as soon as the prie drops online. Can anyone here confirm whether the prie drops at midnight or some random point between then and when the store opens?
