I'm going to hold off on updating the OP until this is actually confirmed by T-Mobile, but if true, this is a very good deal for people who have older Pixels.
Everything else would be a push or in favor of the S8.
Larger internal storage with the Pixel, but expandable w/memory card on the S8.
Larger battery on the Pixel, but better display on the S8.
It is just a list of potential trade-offs between them, so......just depends what you're looking for.
5G is not available everywhere but pixel got better camera... single core pixel better but multi-core not much of difference.
