Attachments seem to be the same so it appears the only difference is the carrying case. Both have the large case, but gift set comes with the pouch- style travel case as well.

I like the copper but will be going with the pink since I plan on getting some extra attachments (ie, the long barrel for long hair). The copper with pink attachments would drive me crazy.
