I just opened my account, and of course I missed the tiny promo code box to enter the promo code for the account. I'd like to send a quick email or chat, but it doesn't seem capital one has these features available. How do I make sure this brand new account is eligible for the promo? I saw a few people mention that they talked to people that said to call after February? Not sure if that was for something else though. Let me know, thanks in advance!

So my best shot is using my trading brokerage accounts to transfer the money. Not sure if it will 100% work, but both are listed as ACH transactions.

after completing the acct set up, I contacted customer service to verify the promo was applied because I didn't see any confirmation of it during the application process.
customers service (who was very hard to understand because of their thick accent) were unable to verify the promo had been applied.
they're suggestion was to just keep the acct open and wait a few months, and if the additional $400 bonus wan not applied, call and explain situation to see if capital one would make an exception (i felt that response was unacceptable).
I told then I would like to cancel my account, which they then assisted me with.
overall, I was very disappointed with my experience with capital one.
It would have been so much easier if CapOne simply coded the account to show the promo code was applied or not for customers to see at login.

I am guessing we get that monthly as a credit to our accounts? Sorry if it's a stupid question just curious
I've also tried transferring from my Ally savings and checking account for future reference. The checking account did NOT go through as ACH, but as a p2p. The saving transfer won't go through until Friday I think, so I'll update them. Hopefully it'll go through as ACH.

I quickly called customer service, and talked to a helpful agent who said she'd manually enter the BONUS400 code into my account, so I should be good to go.
