Walmart has a unique Phono Input version of the highly rated Klipsch "The One II" Bluetooth tabletop speaker in Walnut on clearance for $249.00 $148.00! In addition to Bluetooth, this version will allow you to connect your Turntable directly to the unit, even if it doesn't have a built in preamp. Klipsch oddly offered this version of the popular speaker exclusively at Wal-Mart. In Stock at my local store (I have two ready for pickup as we speak) and available for Free Shipping.

The common version of this speaker works with Bluetooth 4.0 or 3.5 mm Aux input. Best Buy has this non-Phono version in the Walnut color at $148.00 today as well. If you don't need the RCA line/phone input, this version is otherwise identical to the other.

This device does not support Alexa, Google Home, or Airplay. However, there are several workarounds to make it function with these services. Airplay, for example, can be enabled by using an old Apple Airport Express (with audio out) or a 2nd gen Apple TV with a $12 optical or HDMI to Aux converter.

Great deal, thumbs up.

Looking at the back, it seems to me that it replaces the aux input with the RCA (phone/line) inputs, not that it has the RCA inputs in addition to the aux input. So it's not going to allow more connections compared to the standard One II, just it has the flexibility of the integrated phono stage.

I think I might pick up a standard One II. I don't need the phono stage, and the standard unit is tidier around back.
I wish Klipsch had a Sonos equivalent competitive product that played music seamlessly across rooms...
Yeah I think the Klipsch Three would be a better fit there, and also it has a remote. I had posted a deal for the Klipsch Three II (black) for ~$260@Amazon, but that deal is currently dead.

Have you though of getting a Klipsch Three (original, now discontinued) off Ebay? They are selling there new/open-box for $350, which is more but you get the Wi-Fi streaming capability (i.e. you can send audio to it straight from Spotify and also directly control the speaker volume within Spotify), and using Klipsch app, you can Wi-Fi stream other services like Tidal, Amazon music, etc. Also the Klipsch Three original finishes look even more vintage, in particular the Ebony finish is quite nice (I have one of these).

Wish they'd release another edition with the copper accents. That model was gorgeous.

If you're willing to pay more, you can find the older original One.

Actually right now, someone is selling a handful of used but very good condition Klipsch Three speakers (Ebony with the copper accents) on eBay.

I just set this up. It looks great but the sound is seriously underwhelming. Thinking about returning it despite it being nice decoration.

Just received and am very impressed by the amount of sound this puts out. Much more than the UE Megaboom I compared it to. Really fills a bedroom with rich sound.

As a long time Klipsch fan, I'm pleasantly surprised at the sound quality and quantity. Love the old school nostalgia flipping the switch on. Gonna hunt for a turntable to complete the atmosphere.

Got one! Going to use my echo dot as the auxiliary source with Spotify. Will post back and give my review. The echo does have a full equalizer so that should help tune this. I wanted the Marshall Action 2 but none for sale right now.

Compared to what? It's a portable speaker. Sound is great in its class. Just enough bass for treble clarity is what Klipsch is known for.

I agree. I get mine Friday and am excited to give this thing a shot. I'm glad I can use the equalizer in my echo to tune it as I do think it'll help some.

I can tell you that having 3 ProMedia sets, I think this sounds warmer and clearer. The promedia is plastic with a banging sub.

Having also (previously) owned the Promedia's and also currently trying out the Klipsch One II, I'd have to agree.

As for bass, if you listen to the larger Klipsch Three, you might suspect at first there's a separate discrete subwoofer that's connected elsewhere in the room, it's that impressive. Actually that's my one complaint with the Three, is that you can't change any tone controls or lower the bass (e.g. for late at night).

It's not as much of an issue with the One though, since it still has pretty good bass, but it's not as much or as deep as the Three puts out.

I recommend listening to some Diana Krall or Norah Jones with this speaker. The total experience (including the look and design) can give a feeling of being transported back in time.

For those who care, I ended up returning mine today and keeping the Marshall Acton 2. It's vocals were much clearer and the bass more pronounced. The Klipsch had a wider soundstage and much brighter tweeters, but I prefer the strong vocals on the Marshall. I found the vocals on the Klipsch to be very "recessed" sounding. Could probably tune either a bit more, but I also think the build quality is far superior on the Marshall as well. Built in power brick on the Marshall and better controls. The Klipsch has a cheap beefy wall plug with a loose plug into the unit itself. I do think both are worth $150 however.

A few weeks ago I had come across this brand and I went to their website and I loved the look of their products... I had seen this item and I wanted it...
Came to this site to look for a gift for my wife... and she had told me she wanted a nice big blootooth speaker... then I saw this deal,.. had to get it.

The speaker is fantastic.. looks beautiful... real wood...metal... sounds terrific. Very nice debt and bass.... I recommend,.. and Ím not just some guy... Ím a musician.

They did try to go that route by integrating DTS Play-Fi in the now discontinued Klipsch Three original, but that was removed in the Three II, and it seems that they have now abandoned that platform.

Now the best alternative to Sonos is if you have a bunch of Chromecast Audio dongles...unfortunately Google discontinued those (I guess it was just plain useful and didn't offer enough spying benefit on the user for them?) and now they run on Ebay for about $65-70 each (new).
A little old to reply, but the Mi Stick has an optical output. So you can use it as a chromecast Audio without having to turn on the TV. I forget though if you can group video based chromecast into audio groups. I thankfully still have a small supply of CCA's for any expansion. Still the best option to convert any audio source you already have into a distributed audio setup. Higher res than Sonos. Optical output.

The lack of dual inputs on this is its downfall. Should have had a 3.5 aux in addition to the rca phone in. I'd rather get a Marshall Stanmore 2. It has rca's in the back you can add a phone preamp for your vintage table or use the built in preamp on some newer tables. Then attach the CCA to the aux in up top with a right angle cable to keep it clean looking.

But I would use powered stereo speakers over a single speaker box if I was bothering to do a phono setup mainly because I'd like a little separation and you can have the speakers at least flank the table. There's also some small digital amps and hybrid tube amps with a phono preamp around this price you can pair with some bookshelf speakers for a nicer setup. So many decent bookshelves roaming around CL, OfferUp and FB Marketplace. Keep someone's used gear going and have a better product over buying new. Same with the turntable. Vintage tables are so much nicer than today's tables at current prices. Picked up a Philips 212 for $30. Replaced the bulbs off of ebay. Built like a tank. Classic look for my vintage stereo cabinet. Suspended platter and tonearm. Good luck finding a better new table anywhere close to its price.
