Mint mobile agent just told me that tomorrow will be a Black Friday sale for new members of buy 3 months get 3 free... But the device you're using cannot have been active on Mint Mobile for 91 days. So even if you order a new SIM or phone number it's the device you are using that will determine if you are eligible for the sale price.
So if you are using google voice and renewing with a new number the discount might not work.

I think that deal was slightly better than this one:
1. There was a $45 off $90 cashback on AMEX
2. You can preload your account via mint to qualify and then ask a rep to move your balance to your refill balance.
3. After 14 days of your plan activation, you get your additional 3 months as a refill credit.
4. Select 3gb/12 months after your 8gb/3 month plan for ~$135 or $9/month for 15 months of service

edit: also bestbuy is only for the 8GB while mint is 5/8/12GB
