Just an FYI, this was posted yesterday on reddit:

Mint mobile agent just told me that tomorrow will be a Black Friday sale for new members of buy 3 months get 3 free... But the device you're using cannot have been active on Mint Mobile for 91 days. So even if you order a new SIM or phone number it's the device you are using that will determine if you are eligible for the sale price.

So if you are using google voice and renewing with a new number the discount might not work.

Unlimited Data: Unlimited means speeds will be reduced to a max of 128Kbps after >35GB/mo. or use of GB allotment for the remainder of the billing cycle. 1 month equals 30 days. Partial megabytes rounded up. Unlimited on handset and network only

It's been a while since I ordered direct from Mint, but they use 2 day FedEx.

for those that already are on mint and plan on activating this '3month 3free' sim in the same phone, PLEASE let us know if the imei exclusion is real or a bluff.

I got their service last year when they had the same promo, the service was not good. When I used LTE during congested times, the speed was miserable. Sometimes group chats wouldn't work properly. Also, there were times where I couldn't send pictures when I was on wifi. I was happy to move to another company as soon as the 6months hit. Also porting out from them was pretty simple, but took an hour to get ahold of someone.

in for 6 months, my other phone haven't use for over a year since we don't use it that much so random drop or slow speed is fine. coming from Tmobile 30$ a month to 15$ a month is a plus for occasional user. if all goes well i will wait and get the 6 for 6 months for other phone. i'm tired paying 30$ and not using and loosing all unused data. does Mint roll unused data over?

I had Mint for about 6 months. What made me want to change my phone plan to the real T-Mobile was its connections. Whenever I wanted to make a call, there was about a 3- to 10-second delay. The same for receiving a call. Although a few seconds don't mean much, it actually can get pretty frustrating. I am thinking about getting it again, but this time for my son who is not really making much phone calls and is presently being home-schooled. Even though the price is very low, I am still worried about the service.

It's real. (I'm Mint's CFO and co-founder.)

That's odd, that really shouldn't have happened. If your son has the same problem, let us know on reddit and we'll help out.

FWIW, there is a 150 minute limitation on call duration. I had to take a week of conference calls on a mint number at the start of the pandemic before my work phone was shipped and the call would abruptly drop 2.5 hours into the call each time. Reached out CS and was advised that this was by design to discourage business usage.

I've been a Mint customer for >1yr now. My 1yr plan just expired and when I go to renew it there's a $18 renewal fee - which is now making me think I should use this deal.

Since I also use Google Voice as my main phone number I don't mind letting go of my current number which only a few people have.

Are there any issues with this? How do I delete my current account? Is there a way to reuse current sim? Can I signup with same email or not?

Is the renewal fee in addition to recovery fee and taxes? They tack on a fee for returning customers???

No it just says recovery fee. My account expired just yesterday and I was very surprised when I saw this.
