Q: Can someone clarify if AT&T prepaid WiFi calling works on all Unlocked phones? Why I ask is, I am using Cricket wireless and WiFi calling works only on Cricket branded phones and my home doesn't have good signal and rely on WiFi calling

I've been on the 8gb + 17gb walmart/At&t Prepaid plan for over a year and it looks like they're still offering it. 25gb of full speed data with hotspot for $40.00 per month is still a pretty good deal. Ya just need to purchase a cheap prepaid phone from them. I actually ended up returning mine after I got the 17gb bonus data.
These look like decent, single-month commitment options without much hoops to jump through. But I agree the Walmart plan is better at $40 and even the yearly $300 ($25/month) is better for the lowest price; that $300/year is 8 GB plus rollover and tethering. The catch is that you need to port in and have to commit for the year. My wife just renewed her yearly plan for the same price.

Currently have 2lines for kids under cricket wireless
$30 x2 =$60
Will this be better choice?
Is this a promo or can I get it next month?
This is not a promo, its the every day price and yes I think this would probably be a better deal. If you link the plans together under a family plan in their accounts settings you will save $5 a month x2. So essentially $10 cheaper a month.
I currently have Straight Talk using ATT towers. $45 25GB plan.
I just purchased a 5G phone.
What do you guys think is the best deal out now for Prepaid 5G?
Thanks!!!!

can i use an iPhone 12 on this prepaid plan or do they make you get their own phones? Interested in getting an iphone and then do prepaid; cheaper than doing a contract payment through t-mobile or verizon, or att. Any thoughts?
Yes, you can bring your own device to AT&T Prepaid.

5G isn't impressive in most places right now. I wouldn't worry about a 5G plan right now unless you're certain the service is better in your area. From tests I've seen, 5G is slower than LTE in areas. I jumped on a 5G plan when there was a limited time special, but I'm not buying a 5G phone for it because I know it's not better than 4G LTE in my area.

T Mobile Connect, a prepaid plan, offer Unlimited Talk/Text and 2 GB of data for $15. For someone like myself who's not a heavy user and works from home it rocks!

These tmobile connect plans would be great if they didn't have a hard data cap. No email, mms, etc after you use all of your data. Fine if you don't use much data. I can live without high speed data but NO DATA is a deal breaker.
If you don't want to waste your time and get wrong charge, especially for multiline account, you'd better wait until one day before your next plan renewal date to make your plan changes.
My multiline account was on a $50 plan for all 3 lines, total monthly charge was $100 with multiline discount, the plan renewed on 11/26/2020. On 12/7/2020, I made changes online to switch all 3 lines to this $30 plan, new total monthly charge should be $70 with multiline discount. However, I got a total charge of $122.67 for making this plan change while based on my calculation, I should have got only $10 charge: $60 prorated credit for the previous plan (12 days usage), and $70 charge for the new plan starting on 12/7.
I've called the AT&T prepaid customer service three times but was told the charge was "correct" due to when/how I made the plan change, their explanations: 1. I should have waited until 1 day before my next renewal date to make the plan change; 2. with the multiline account, I should have changed the primary account first then the member accounts. There was also a customer representative told me that they no longer refund prorated credit for plan changes, however, their online system did calculate $7.xx prorated credit for each of my 2 member lines when I made the change.

No. Always charged taxes. But you can get around it by funding your account using prepaid cards.
Do you buy the prepaid cards for the same amount the plan is each month? Or load it up at once and it just deducts monthly from the prepaid phone card?

Except ATT also runs FirstNet (for first responders) and generally has a more reliable network without throttling for prepaid users. Visible/Verizon is terrible and they will straight up tell you that the tower is congested and you cant do shit. I had Verizon for a phone deal but just ended up using another SIM while my months ran out because it was so bad.

Once you're deprioritized by Verizon, your can barely connect to internet no matter what.

Thanks
