Protip: phone numbers don't die as soon as you stop paying, they are "active" for 30-90 days with suspended service if you have a line you have the info you need to port in with. I procrastinated until the last day and I was relieved, but if if you have a spare that just shut down it can work too. If you have the info for a phone with "suspended service" that can be used for the deal too.

DIFFERENT ACCOUNT NUMBERS FOR PORTED LINES: When you place the order, it will ask for the account number and PIN for only one of the lines you are porting in. If you are porting two numbers, you will get an email ("Important Update") requesting the account number for the second line. According the this post you will then later another email asking for the PIN.

Be wary of ebay seller sdcomputers4less . Multiple people claiming bad port numbers & wont refund even if you have not even been given a number yet. You have been warned!! If a number turns out to be inactive or bad, your order will not be shipped. So, it is best to chat with the support after placing order to confirm everything is fine. If the number is bad, then the only solution is cancel the order and place the order again. Expired, the top is the code that doesn't work anymore. Some users have reported a pop-up offering a "Because its 2020, Take $20 off coupon". The process for getting the pop-up is, you add the iphone to your cart, then go through the checkout process (even enter your porting number information) but at the end dont go through with it. RSIM15 Instructions
This is what worked for me:
I activated Cricket service, set up the phone under my Apple ID, and also updated to the latest iOS. All that with Cricket SIM in tray, as per usual. [Did try to power on the phone for the first time with my preferred carrier's SIM (T-mobile) just to test if the phone comes unlocked but no luck there. It's locked.
To work with your carrier of choice, try RSIM plus carrier's SIM in tray. If you get the pop-up menu, code the ICCID as per instructions. I did not get the menu and was unable to change the ICCID that way.
The workaround was to remove the carrier's SIM and inserted Cricket SIM but with RSIM still in the tray. Then go to "Settings" - "Cellular" - "SIM Applications" - "Edit ICCID" and enter the most recent ICCID number (you can find one here: https://geveystore.com/).
They Gevey Store ICCID is not always up to date. I found the latest ICCID numbers here https://beta.unlockcode
After coding is done, remove Cricket's SIM, insert your carrier's SIM (again, with RSIM still in the tray), and you should be able to register on the carrier's network. I think I needed an extra reboot or two and had to enter Apple ID / Password to proceed.
After the phone connects on your desired carrier, be sure to navigate to Settings - Cellular - Cellular Data Network to ensure the APN settings for your carrier are entered correctly. For T-Mobile, use info found here: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...ple-iphone

You can buy the R-SIMs off ebay/amazon and they are usually $10 give or take.
It works reasonably well and the wiki talks about how to operate it, the only challenge is sometimes iOS updates break it and sometimes you need a new ICCID but for the most part it's great and allows you to use a SIM locked phone with any provider. and in this case you dont have to wait 180 days with Cricket to get an unlock code.
Keep in mind it is unlike the factory unlocking process which is permanent. Here you are dependent always on the R-SIM.

Do you think it would be a problem? There is no option to select which version when I requested.
But regarding the 2nd part, I did the iPhone 7 deal back in February. I barely used the phones and usually charged them once every 2 weeks.
I successfully unlocked the 7's. So it doesn't seem to matter if you put them in airplane mode or if they are off.
The issue starts when you swap swims and it MIGHT reset the timer.
You can check this iin AccountSettings -> Unlock Phone: Get Code -> Request Unlock --- on the phone you want. it validates and displays the message similar to "Eligible for unlock in 173 days"

I also place 4 separate orders using the same address. For the first two orders, I used the normal address. For the second two, I simply put the apt number in the first line and the street address in the second line, and the orders went through. I have received three of them, and the last one just got shipped this afternoon.

in order to bypass the "two per household" limitation, the shipping labels of the three packages that I received all show the address as:

It seems Cricket always (at least to my case) use the (USPS) standardized address for shipment, and thus the address on the shipping label is not necessarily identical to the address that one entered when placing the order.
In fact, for one of the orders, I even replaced "Apt" with "Room" when placing the order, but on the shipping label it still shows up as "100 Main St Apt 1" instead "... Room 1".
