Is this good for VERY basic use just using chrome, word, citrix and zoom?
I wouldn't do it. Walmart had a computer with the same processor a few weeks back, 8gb of ram and a 256gb SSD for $40 more.

Those thinking 4 GB is too slow for this config are underestimating how fast M.2 SSDs are combined with the 10th gen i3 CPU. This is a good basic laptop for school work so the amount of RAM is plenty for that price and usage. If this were an Athlon 3000 cpu then I would probably go for 8 GB RAM.
It's going to make the virtual memory perform faster....

I am using an 8th gen i3 notebook with 4gb ram and is more than enough computing power
I refurbish old laptops as a hobby.
I find that even with 4 GB of RAM, they are fine for general web surfing such as updating Facebook etc especially when upgraded with a SSD.

So why are you here yelling that in a thread about a laptop that has upgradeable RAM and SSD?
It can be upgraded. 2 RAM slots. 1 filled. $11.95 for a 4GB SODIMM. $35 for a 256GB m.2 SSD. (prices for upgrades are from Amazon, delivered prime, found by doing a quick search. You can probably do better than that). I had the ram laying around from a previous upgrade on another laptop and 128GB happens to fit the bill for this build. Going to a relative that needs a cheap laptop to stay in touch. Basic use.

You're not reading... Maybe you can't. Either way, this can be upgraded to more RAM
Spend $80 bucks more and get the $299 Lenovo from Best Buy. This and the chrome book are below basic requirements and is just ASKING for trouble.
Better and bigger screen, more memory, bigger keyboard and bigger SSD for $80 more.
I broke out the calculator and abacus. $80 + $150 = $230, No? It's double $150 to buy the Lenovo for $299 ? Or am I missing something? I do miss things sometimes. Code?
