I find that even with 4 GB of RAM, they are fine for general web surfing such as updating Facebook etc especially when upgraded with a SSD.

8g branded used ram can be bought at ebay cheaply

It can be upgraded. 2 RAM slots. 1 filled. $11.95 for a 4GB SODIMM. $35 for a 256GB m.2 SSD. (prices for upgrades are from Amazon, delivered prime, found by doing a quick search. You can probably do better than that). I had the ram laying around from a previous upgrade on another laptop and 128GB happens to fit the bill for this build. Going to a relative that needs a cheap laptop to stay in touch. Basic use.

I do think storage needs to be upgraded. 128GB is only good for the OS itself to run smoothly. In otherwords don't save or install much of anything on that SSD.
