I broke out the calculator and abacus. $80 + $150 = $230, No? It's double $150 to buy the Lenovo for $299 ? Or am I missing something? I do miss things sometimes. Code?
This one is $150? It says $210. Still doesnt make $80 but it is $90 more.

$210 + ram upgrade + tax(optional for some states) + electronic fee in CA(optional for others) = looking around $250 + - $20 range.

You may probably wish to make a NVMe SSD upgrade to replace 128GB?
Personally unless giving to someone could only use windows, other wise using it myself I would install Linux instead so 4gb ram and 128gb ssd is more than enough.

target? they should come strongly in the laptop market. I really love their customer service. Best in the USA along with Costco.
Agree. At least their inventory on website for stores are very accurate, and the remaining stock (even only 1 or 2 left) are just on the shelf, not like Walmart all hide in cages/drawers/back rooms where you cannot see, and the Walmart associate will just turn you down saying nothing available/no, unless you find a helpful manager which is very unlikely to happen. To harvest in Target not rely on Walmart "YMMV" such shit thing, and you just go to the shelf to check/get it without asking for enormous effort.

That's the problem you need to look at all those fees because those are the money coming out of your pocket. Besides adding new branded ram is better way to go. I wouldn't trust no brand or used.
I do think storage needs to be upgraded. 128GB is only good for the OS itself to run smoothly. In otherwords don't save or install much of anything on that SSD.
For people running basic tasks they don't need much things installed. Just browser and a few small programs, and small personal files, even not Office. Everything are in browser. Even 64GB are too much for them.

Oh no! Don't compare walmart customer service with target. That's not even comparable. Walmart had a good deal on hp gaming laptop and they messed up the shipping. I am willing to pay 50$-100$ more to get better service. Walmart is horrible as always.

Target is a fly speck in size compared to Walmart. Anyhow really I've never had problems with either. I temper my expectations.

Am I the only one seeing so many typos across every SD deal today?
I didn't notice anything, but it's been a schlong night.
Personally, I'd download another 4 GB of RAM.

It's $210 + about $70 for additional 4GB ram & larger SSD = $280.
So if a person can afford it, better deal is the one recommended at Best Buy.
If can't afford more, this will do the basics: surfing, Facebook, Word, Excel & Zoom, but may be a little slow.

Any chance the Target description is wrong and this actually has a 1080P screen? Trying to find a reason to buy this one and sell the $149 Lenovo one.

But if the HP really only has a 720P screen, it's probably not worth it for my purposes...

It is not just about buying the extra RAM, but then you have to actually install it. While it is not a huge job for people who have done it before, for people who haven't it can be a difficult. (Hp says in their manual "Two SODIMM slots, not customer accessible or upgradeable")

And with only 4GB, even google chrome will freeze up so you definitely need 8GB.

And lastly, you do not need to buy 8GB of RAM - you can just buy 4GB to make 8GB and it will cost you around $17 on crucial. The OEM RAM might be a little more but I can't find any info on the HP website of what the part number for the RAM is so the only way you will be able to find out the RAM part number is probably by opening the computer.

It is 768 not 1080.

But 768 at 14" is good enough. 15" should be 1080 minimally.

Honestly... all sold out within 7 targets in my area....

Rough calc cost;
- $210 - 5% target card = 199.5
- 4g ram . New $ 17
Total $220 for i3

I prefer 12- 14" laptop . Easy to. Carry on...
